I never mentioned Big Medicine. I meant Big Herbalism, or Homeopathy, or whatever you want to call it.

Look, man: even if there was such thing as Big Hebalism (which there isn't), it wouldn't be a bad thing. The idea of herbalism is to increase the health of our society. The idea of pharmaceutics is to make money.

Nah, that's just what Big Herbalism has brainwashed you with. They are only about money as well, they're just waiting until sheep like you get rid of Big Medicine to do it. Obv.

"Ignorance is a plague."

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

And you are citing sources from Big Homeopathy. What exactly is the difference?
For the last time - it's not homeopathy, it's herbalism.

And the idea of "Big Herbalism" is ludicrous. Herbalism is a very underground, research-based movement.
Americans spend 34 BILLION dollars on alternative medicine each year; it's big business.

Big Herbalism is a business. Just like Big Pharma. They both exist to make money. They might dress it up as wanting to help people but they are lying to you. Their sole interest is in taking your money, getting you hooked on herbs, or pills, or whatever they are selling.

Wake up, (don't) smell the roses (that is also a scam, has no beneficial effects and is likely to lead to a severe case of bee sting to the nose) and open your eyes. You are a pawn in the game of Big Herbalism. I'm just trying to help.

Except you don't have to buy anything to reap the benefits of herbs.

And you can't get "hooked" on them.

Hi! How you doin'?

Sometimes, all you need are a couple giant explosions to get you through the day.

You all realize this guy is a flippin' troll, right?
I swear, I hate this mentality that permeates this site. "Oh, someone is in contrast to my own views, therefore he is a troll."

No, I'm serious. He's really good at it, too.

Check his posting history, he makes all sorts of BS threads.

What makes it even better are the people that actually defend this muppet.

Well sure, and I could go and make my own vaccines. Find a cow with cowpox, rub myself against it, and bam, smallpox vaccine. But the vast majority of people do not have the room, time, climate or knowhow to grow and prepare their own meds or herbs, so they have to buy them.

'Κύριε Ἰησοῦ Χριστέ, Υἱὲ τοῦ Θεοῦ, ἐλέησόν με τὸν ἁμαρτωλόν.'

Typical Flood Logic: Anytime someone has a different opinion, it obviously means that he is trolling. I think that this guy is legit, even if his opinion is blatantly wrong.

Growing herbs is as easy as having a garden, which most Americans have.

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

Nope, I know the guy, he is sincere in his threads. Sure, he may have some more radical viewpoints, but he knows how to argue his point and defend his stance.

Jon Stewart and his "bull-blam!- mountain" theory are coming to mind right now.

  • 11.10.2012 7:02 PM PDT

Exactly. Just like doctors are in bed with the researchers and big pharma, your local garden store is in on this too. Just watch, funnily enough those herbs they sell you won't propagate for long, meaning you'll have to go back and buy new plants. Monsanto quite clearly has their fingers in the Big Herb pie, why else do you think they're pushing so hard with their attempts to produce infertile plant strains. They want you dependent on them for your herbal needs. Any day now you'll hear about their 'accidential' release of infertile herb varieties that will overrun natural stock and leave you reliant on their labs.

No. Monsanto has nothing to do with true herbalism.

That is what you think, because you've been blinded. Follow the money back. Herbalists have to eat and fund their research, Monsanto is holding the credit card and making the monkeys dance for the money.

Lolno. Monsanto wouldn't fund people to talk shit about them.

In conclusion, science is our best way to objectively discover truth in our universe, and herbs that have some component that can in some way fight disease have had their components isolated and analyzed, and many of them are now used in medicine to much greater effect. Alternative medicine is really just alternatives TO medicine, as in, not medicine.

If you argue that he's sincere, then you obviously don't know him well enough. He even admitted it, when someone on one of his threads which suggested watching children's shows promoted mental degradation, linked him to promoting that 'Sociopaths United' group.

Of course they would. Monsanto is an agricultural company. Get everyone hooked on herbs, then BAM. unveil a flood of patents, and you are eating Thyme by Monsanto. the plant only lives for a few months and cant be bred, and you can only buy the seeds from Monsanto accredited resellers. All Thyme and other herbs will be genetically altered secretly by their 'accidental' releases, and then they sue anyone growing it without their permission.

Open you eyes.
