OP, is your point that vaccines are useless?
Or that vaccines keep us "dependent" on pharmaceutical companies?
------------------

The first point is just wrong. Vaccines have eradicated many diseases.

The second point? Well, let's say everyone starts taking your "natural" remedies, assuming that they even work
Most people don't have a jungle in their backyard. Where would they get all these herbs and plants? They would have to buy them from somewhere. You'd still be dependent on whoever is selling you the herbs and plants. This is an invalid argument.

'Κύριε Ἰησοῦ Χριστέ, Υἱὲ τοῦ Θεοῦ, ἐλέησόν με τὸν ἁμαρτωλόν.'

I find that vaccination-deniers are more motivated by politics than by actual reason or concern for their childrens' health. It mostly comes down to that weirdo-Conservative desire to 'stick it to the man' or resist 'government interference' by choosing to go against the societal consensus of vaccinating your children. In reality though, you are only harming your children by refusing to vaccinate them. Your children paying the price for your own twisted political views is about as low as it gets.

Notice where that study took place?

Yeah.

Collating data from studies in:
The United Kingdom
The United Kingdom
California
Canada
England
London
The United Kingdom
Finland
Denmark
Atlanta
Sweden and Denmark
Denmark
Quebec
Denmark
The United States
England
The United Kingdom

Conclusion:
Twenty epidemiologic studies have shown that neither thimerosal nor MMR vaccine causes autism. These studies have been performed in several countries by many different investigators who have employed a multitude of epidemiologic and statistical methods. The large size of the studied populations has afforded a level of statistical power sufficient to detect even rare associations. These studies, in concert with the biological implausibility that vaccines overwhelm a child's immune system, have effectively dismissed the notion that vaccines cause autism. Further studies on the cause or causes of autism should focus on more-promising leads.

Not a single one of those are scientific articles...are you retarded or something?
That's because "scientific" articles are written by employees of pharmaceutical corporations.

No they're not, they're written by scientists, without which, you would not have a computer and would most likely have died from some disease that has since been cured. And the point of a scientific article is to allow for other groups to show repeatability.

Homeopathy and Herbalism are the same are, they're both mostly placebo effect.

Herbalism can actually be helpful; there are some plants that have medicinal properties and can be used to combat disease. However, most of these have been discovered by researchers and are used to create normal medicine.

Homeopathy on the other hand is complete rubbish; all most all of what we know about chemistry and physics would have to be totally wrong for homeopathy to work. The solutions are typically diluted to 30C, which means that it was diluted by a factor of 10^-60. Just to give you an idea of how much that is diluted, if every one of the 7 billion living human beings on the Earth drank 1 gallon of a 30C homeopathic solution every second, it would take 9,000,000 times the estimated remaining lifespan of the sun (5 billion years) for the chances of a SINGLE MOLECULE of remedy being consumed to be greater than 50%.

The first point is a symptom of the second. They're useless because they are used to thrall us to the needs of Big Medicine. And you obviously didn't read what I posted earlier. When you use an herb to cure a disease, your body learns from that and defends itself better in the future. When a vaccine is given to your body, it actually weakens the immune system in the long run.

And not everyone needs a "jungle in their backyard". Having a small garden of the five essential herbs would work fine.

I don't understand all the parents who actually choose to inject their children with viruses, especially with all the new evidence coming out about the dangers of vaccines.

Instead of damaging our children with small strains of illnesses that are designed to attack the immune system, we need to use safe, natural remedies to fight infections with our immune systems.

Agree?

Disagree.

Vaccinations ARE using our immune system to prevent infections.

Here's a nice summary of my views

There is no single source for scientific funding...there are both public and private sources. I don't really get your point. Even when a study or experiment is funded by a pharmaceutical company, that doesn't give them control over the study. And even if it did, it would have to be repeatable to be accepted by the scientific study, so if its altered, it would obviously not be repeatable.

  • 11.10.2012 5:55 PM PDT

The immune system isn't like a game health bar which slowly lowers over time, it's an adaptive machine which learns from invaders and fights accordingly.

Also, vaccines here in Australia are generally free for most people, I don't understand the whole pharmaceutical monopoly argument that's going on here.

Sorry, I wasn't specific.

Legitimate, unbiased and peer-reviewed source please?

The one I just linked was unbiased.

Here's another good one, though.
"Organic Health Adviser" is unbiased? LOL, no.

Also, neither of those are peer-reviewed.

Agree?

Nope.

The viruses we "damage our children" with are dead, if not dying. Adverse reactions are pretty rare, and vaccines have done far more good than bad over the years, especially with things like polio and smallpox.
This. Tough I do agree with using all natural medicines for small things, there is a point at which we NEED to take medicine/vaccines.

Pharmaceutical companies fund scientists to sway results in their favor. They can "repeat" the false results as many times as they want.

Except when studies done not funded by them would not be similarly swayed. And the pharma companies don't have control over the studies, the scientists get the grant money and can do whatever they want with it.

I wasn't referring to "where" geographically, I was referring to the sites. Total pharmaceutical propaganda. Might as well have gotten it straight from the American Heart Association website.
