Why wouldn't it? Every 360 game does.

1080p? Your entire house would burn down if you ever tried to used 1080p with a current system. I'm sure you meant 1080i. 720p is HD with the 360.

Are you retarded?All 360 games support 480p,720p,and 1080i.

P.S.I really could not care less about HD,all it does is make it a better res and a bit clearer, for $500 or more bucks, which is why I don't get HD,I can get a good 480p TV for cheaper and make it look good as well.

Each time someone stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. That hope is three little numbers: 1 - 1 - 7.

There is hope in us all. We gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face. We must do the thing which we think we cannot do; stand with the Master Chief and Finish this Fight!

Or any standard monitor Screen will do like my 19" inch LCD flat screnn, opud there I do boasting again!!

Don’t get mad if I flame you because you cannot spell, or because my three year old has better grammar and etiquette than you.

They say all 360 games will support 720p, I dont know about beyond that right now.

But I can tell you I am buying a new 61" Rear projection DLP just for Halo 3. I am still in debate between the Samsung and Toshiba though. I can get the 72" toshiba for the same price as a 67" samsung, so I am still in debate right now.

If someone has either of the 61" 62" 67" or 72" DLP models let me know.

Your 1080p TV will more than likely be able to convert the 360's 720p signal up to 1080p.

I currently have a 55" toshiba (non HD) and I am used to that, so I am saving up a lot of money (3-4K) for something comprable in size.

Really once you have a big screen it SUCKS to go back to a small tv. Dont do it unless you are ready for a life long commitment.

My TV is working great, I just think I am ready to go HD for Halo 3.

Might wanna get your facts right there before you insult someone so blindly.

The Xbox 360 supports 480p, 720p, and 1080i. Microsoft believes that 720p is the sweet spot, which is standard HD on the Xbox 360. Not every game uses 1080i as their main HD setting if you look at the back of a game case such as Perfect Dark Zero, it only says HDSupport 720p.

All Xbox 360 games can display in 480p, 720p, and 1080i. It doesn't matter what game it is - the Xbox 360 has a special bit of hardware that allow it to appropriately scale things. It does this a lot better than almost all TV scalers out there.

So, for the best experience, set your Xbox 360 to display in the native resolution of your TV set (this will likely be 1080i for a lot of earlier HD sets, and 720p for the newer ones). The game will automatically show up correctly.

and if u dont have a HD tv?

  • 06.30.2006 6:31 PM PDT

I dont know exactly what to call it, but it has something to do with spaggetti, duct tape and razor blades...

Go buy one, its well worth it. Anyone who says otherwise does not have one. You dont hear people with HDTVs like"aww man, this thing sucks, the picture isnt any better." Because it is, way better. especially if you get HD cable.

What about it? You resolution if you don't have HD is and always is 480i, the interlaced version of 480p. Interlaced (i) is worse than progressive scan (p) so I think what the thread creator was asking was whether the progressive scan version of the 1080 resolution, which is something that, while apparently the hardware can handle it, is not supported by the Xbox 360.
