So Achronos, Who referred to Chrome as "Spyware", is a fool now?
Spyware =/= botnet, but yes.Well, I'm sure you know more then one of the people that maintain this site about computers.
I certainly don't, but it's foolish to call Chrome a botnet. It's that simple. If you call it a botnet, you're a fool. You're wrong. Incorrect. Misinformed. Inaccurate. Care to elaborate why it is not, or will you just keep saying people are fools for saying it is without tell them why?
Just look up the damn definition. Chrome is not surreptitiously controlling your computer as part of a network of slaved computers to perform actions like DDoS attacks, creating spam, spreading viruses, or commit cyber crimes. Google is not malicious, and the user agrees to the terms of use and willingly enables any sort of information collection that is done.
It is also not spyware because the user agrees to any collection of information and Google's tactics aren't exactly hidden. In fact, the results are plain to see in the ads that are generated and the efficiency of the program.
Achronos was incorrect in calling it spyware. Is it trash? That's an opinion, but I'd say given the fact that every other browser has tried to copy it aesthetically and functionally, it's probably not.
