A long time ago Xbox Magazine printed that there was a rumour going around on the streets of Seattle that Bungie's big live secret was going to be a 16 player defense of Reach's reactor on the ground, Just like in "Fall Of Reach". I haven't heard anything about this since then, and am curious if anyone knows anything about it.

I think it would be really a sweet idea. Waves and waves of endless convenant troops and a handful of defenders is what I always wanted for multiplayer, but can it really be done? Are they doing it? I can't wait to find out....

To be fair I think it was a figure of speech used by the "Rumour Mole", but good point. Now we have first person denial. :P

I posted an idea about Dr. Hasley/ONI finding an artifact on Earth, like the one in First Strike, and possibly using it to go back in time (Cliche, I know) and saving Reach; or better yet, saving the Spartans on Reach. That could explain the storyline behind such a feature, seeing as how Bungie said that in Halo 2 MP levels will be connected to the campaign storyline?
