Dude, thats perty funny that you can get flanked by Grunts.
(P.S. My first post!!!)
yea, it reminds me of playing Halo:Combat Evolved. One level that comes to mind is well actually level 2 Called "Halo". I remember getting flanked traped and slaughtered by all kinds of Covenant(on all levels)"Halo" is just a perfect example... if you ran , they followed and found you!). I want that feeling of the Covenant on my ars again. What an experience. Things like this didn't happen in the second game, thats why i was wondering what happened to the AI? It actually seemed less advanced in Halo 2 Than it did in Halo: Combat Evolved. But those are just my experiences. Halo 2 the enemies just seemed stronger and more plentifull, but not really chasing after you(or even attacking with any sort of plan or "AI" like they were in Halo:Combat Evolved. I guess the story line could have helped this style of single player gameplay in Halo 2, but i really missed it in the second game. I really hope things like Frankie says, are gonna happen in Halo 3.
Take the first Structure you come to on that level on legendary. If you play the game as it comes at you, and dont't hide and wait like the books tell you, this is one of the hardest and most intelligent parts of the game. If you stay with the Marines and try and save them like you are supposed to, either on the ground or in the structure, WOW!!!!!! theres flanking, surrounding, attacking, and alot of ships landing "with a plan" to take you down.
I remember being completely down on health hearing the "Thump, Thump" of my Heartbeat to remind me i was nearly dead, Hiding behind a huge rock in the middle of the ground around the structure, listening to 2 elites "TALK TO EACHOTHER" in Alien tongues and then flanking me from both sides of the rock and there was nothing i could do.. I wonder what they were sayig to eachother. Iknow it had something to do with "HOW" they were going to take me out! This is what was missing from Halo 2 Campaign. Anyone else also notice how quickly you would get attacked again during a Reload of weaponry in the first game, It was like they could hear you removing the clip of the gun, and then sure enough, you hear the Elites talking (giving orders I'm sure of) and the getting attacked perfectly by the covenant during a Reload......... SURPRIZED??????????? OH YEA!!!!!!!!!
