Subject: Popularity: Does it exist on BNET?

I think so... Stupid popular mythics I tell ya!

  • 11.13.2012 6:36 PM PDT

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Yeah

"If only, if only,"
The woodpecker sighs,
"The bark on the trees was as soft as the skies."
While the wolf waits below, hungry and lonely;
Crying to the moon,
"If only, if only."

Yeah
I trust Sken knows what he's talking about in this situation.

plenty of non-mythics have been made popular: iuiz, naked noob, skenny boy, etc. So yeah. Popularity exists, just not in mythix alone. naw, who am i kidding, GOML!

I don't see how anyone can say "No." to this thread. It's logically improbable that you don't develop a social hierarchy in a community like this.

It doesn't have to be a hierarchy; we could all be equally popular.

Only after we ban Bricypoo.

By this all we need to do is organize it so every single member creates the exact same "level" of posts and threads. We all create the same number of posts and threads, and we are all mythics.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

It doesn't take much -- besides basic logical understanding -- to affirm that popularity does in fact exist on Bungie.net.

Logically, in a community where people post at different rates, in different ways, with different attitudes, with different quality, and with different amounts of content people are bound to be more well-known and more well-liked than some of his or her peers, or vice verse.
