Is there any idea in the future to allow politics in the flood? Or is it highly likely that all political threads will end up being flame wars? Because things might change? but of course there are always flamers.

Body Politic allows political discussion. It is highly unlikely that political discussion will ever be allowed on the public forums.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

Well anyways with the spamfest that The Flood is, I highly doubt even after Recon Number 54's comment.

I think the better question is will the Flood ever accept politics? We're not the smartest bunch.

Or is it, will politics ever accept The Flood?

ahh, body politic. You know, it hasn't been the same without you, Reiginko.

And no, since body politic can barely keep the flaming down, I doubt the Flood will ever be able to.

Political or religious discussion would lead to a lot of flaming. It is better that those topics remain only in private groups.

Sorry to break it to you, but the flame wars ignited already... when the forum was made. This would just add fuel to the fire...

There are far better and far more appropriate places than the forums of a game developers fan community to discuss political, religious and other mature and potentially inflammatory topics.

It's a very big 'Net, and if someone wants a stimulating and mature discussion on such matters, they really wouldn't have to look far.

Such matters are so far outside of the purpose of this site, and have historically been shown to draw idiots like famine victims to a UN food-drop (you see, some people consider that offensive, or an opening to say something stupid, but it is an accurate description.... so would have "sharks to blood in the water") .

The sad fact is that people on these forums tend to lose all sense of civility and common decency the moment someone else questions or counters their personal beliefs or world-view. And they are willing to turn these forums into a text-based slayer match at any time.

So I can almost be certain when I say that controversial topics of conversation (such as religion or politics) will not be allowed on any of the Bungie.Net public forums.

Yeah I guess thats a very valid point.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Such shameless advertising, Reiginko! Heh. Just joking.

My bet is a resounding "no". There are groups for that, such as the aforementioned, and other forums on different websites.

They might, but I'm not sure it would be a good Idea, not as bad as allowing religion (thats always lead to trouble) but the fact is that the gamers come from all over the developed world, so I have a hunch that half the time people wont really understand each others political statements, besides this was never meant for politics, but to talk about games.
