At the end of Halo 2 the Arbitor helps sargent Johnson because he and the other elites were betrayed by the rest of the covenant, but Grunts and Hunters decided to stike with the Elites. So some people think that they will help the humans fight the rest of the covenant, but in this week's Bungie update he talked about fighting grunts. So I think the elites, grunts, and hunters won't help you.

Ah ha, you say this with ushc confidense but yet you forget to factor in a number of other variables as to why the grunts would be fighting him. Just because we know that Grunts (and something larger than a grunt) is attacking the player he referred to we have no proof or even a hint as to wether this action is part of some alternate reality or flash back, or even as a level as a playable other character possible flood etc.

Though I do not seriously support these theories, I still do not support yours as your evidence is quite limited and when put into proper context (as I just suggested as why they may be fighting the player at some point of time) it could still allow the player to at some point play alongside grunts perhaps as another player in sort of the same way they made halo 2 to have two different sides of the forces.

Though one thing we can rule out from his remark is that these grunts he fought were not flood infected (a new attempt of the flood to use grunts as warriors etc)as they still showed signs of cowardice.

Well thank oyu for posting this but you do realize that whenever a piece of information is blatantly obvious and out there there will be many hundreds of reposts of people screaming out wild theories based on such limited information as is almost the case here (at least you had the curdosy to not expand the theory to include more outlandish details).
