The tank already has 3 wak spots.

First it's slow, which I count as a weakness because it makes the tank uber easy t hit.

Second, this is why boarding was invented. So that a guy with a plasma pistol could still take down a tank.

Third, you can shoot off the hatch and then shoot the driver and he cant do much about it. If thats not a weak spot I dont know what is.

If Team Swat became ranked, would there still be no shields?

Amazing!

Backs of tanks are weak spots.

The reason the front of the tanks and Ghosts are strong is because that's where their armor mainly is. That's their built protection.

I don't see it as a big deal. No ordinary weapon should just eliminate a tank. A Rocket? Yes. Brute Shot? Yes, though multiple hits and then some. But normal Battle Rifle or Sniper? No.

No there shouldn't because it would defeat the purpose of using the tank.

To bad a bullet going through a gas tank wouldn't make the vehicle explode...

Exactly. All you get is a leaky gas tank. (which still is very bad for the tank, but a lot less dramatic than an explosion).

You should of made up your own instrument. You could have named it the PolarLighting -a-phone. People would buy it and they would all be like "Awh, He's so cool for inventing the PolarLighting-a-phone."

The tank is fine just the way it is. You want a weak spot? It's called the front of the tank. The back can take 3 rockets the front can only take two. The idea of adding fuel tank is retarted because then you have to worry about rockets AND snipers. The tank would be more of a large, slow moving (defenseless) target than a tank.

Hated by many, confronted by none.

Yes there should be some kind of weaker spot, and there should be one in the banshee too, if you shoot off its wings it SHOULD crash...

NO!

If there was, any proficient player could probably cook a tank in seconds. It'll make the tank a death trap and nobody will want to use it.

Yeah, because the Banshee is just SO overpowered and hard to bring down...

I go by many names, Shinigami, osiris, thanatos, Ares are but a few. But my name is not important for i am god and i am coming for you.

i am a master of my trade with these two hands i create great works. What is it i do?? ... well lets hope for your sake you never find out.

Like guns?? so do we, join Halo Armory and you can too

i dont think that the tank should have a weak spot as it is esentially a weapons platform, the ghost on the other hand is a scouting and recconisence vehicle and as such is less armoured. secondly i think that light arms fire should harm the tank as what good is its armour if a machine gun can take them down? having the armour rebel lighter fire would mean that it would take more forethought and teamwork to kill a tank instead of just running out behind it with an smg or shooting it with a stationary machine gun.

What about an Exhaust pipe?
A bullet into one of them is surely going to take-out a vehicle?

This is halo 2 not halo 1. The hatch dosent have those stupid openings anymore.

The scorpion takes at least 3 rockets to kill, which I too think is a bit excessive... maybe if someone shot the engine after it was exposed with something explosive it would blow up?

Two rockets.

The thing I didnt like about that tank was it was so powerful, and it really threw balance off in MP because it is so easy to rack up kills in that tank without ever getting killed. Take Coag for example, get a scorpion, get the rocket launcher, sit in the mid of the map with radar, you are invincible. Even if another scorpion happened to spawn, you could always blow it up from the middle without even moving. And unless you are a total noob, how many times do you get boarded in a scorpion when you have radar on. Honestly? - though I suppose thatdoesnt really apply on some small maps...

All vehicles need to accumulate their own seperate damage.

it should be protected at first then you would have to board it and break of the plating then throw in a grenade or jump off and shoot it.

I was thinking this...Yannow how you can board the back and throw a grenade in? well wut iff instead, you board the back and have to jump of...after knocking off the cover, ther is a straight path to the engine that immobilizes the tank ....it is still able to fire, but it can't move, easier to take out now.
