Honestly, I really hate the Flood. They are really annoying. Both humans and Covenant hate the Flood. I know they play an important role in the Halo storyline though. I just hope that i don't get to fight them that much in Halo 3. If the Flood do arrive on Earth, then Humans and Covenant are really screwed. A third way through the game, Master Chief is already on Earth and Gravemind can probably slipspace High Charity all the way to Earth. But is it possible that he can even teleport himself to Earth? And is it even possible to land High Charity on Earth?

I respect your opinion, I'm probably just going to disagree with it.

I think you're going about tis the wrong way; sure the Flood is annoying at times in Halo 2, but bear in mind Bungie have PLENTY of time to better it, and I'm sure they are. So, hopefully, the flood have become actually scary, and cool.
Knowing this, I'd quite like to see the Flood in Halo 3. I very seriously doubt there will be no improvements at all, so I'm interested
Bear in mind I am particularly pro-Flood and draw scenes of them all the time AND am currently working on an animation with them... I'm not biased, honest!

The Flood in Halo 1 were fun. I really liked them, the "Flood" of infection forms, with combat forms tryin to kill me and Carriers waddling up to me so they could explode. That was fun.

In Halo , they were not as fun. The Combat forms were fine, but the explosion of the carriers was really lame. The Infection forms were the worst. They were too smart and too few. The only things about the flood that were better in halo 2 than in halo 1 were a) The ability for infection forms to resurrect combat forms, and 2) the shielded combat forms. Flood Juggernauts would have been cool, but unfortunately, they were edited out.

What i would like is for them to combine the best of both worlds, and make the flood in Halo 3 awesome. They should be on Earth, but only for one level, and they should only appear in three other levels at most.

And i wonder, why dont we see grunts and jackals and every other covenant race turn into flood forms. why is it only with elites and humenas. maybe they're like sergeant johnson where the flood can't find their DNA compatible with them. For some reason i think that the flood carriers are grunts because u can see their limbs and it kinda looks like a grunt.

what are your people's thoughts about whether Gravemind could teleport from High charity to Earth and if he can't, can he land High Charity?

Its already been established that infected grunts and jackals turn in to carrrier forms, along with other inadequate hosts like damaged combat forms. Most likely, this also includes drones, because of their diminutive size.

Hunters cannot be infected, because of their biological composition. All hunters are a colony of worm-like creatures working together and shaped by their armor. A Flood cannot infect a worm smaller than it.

As for brutes, we don't know why we haven't seen many infected versions of them, but here are some possible reasons:
1) Brutes have hard, leatherlike skin. It may be difficult for an infection form to penetrate that skin.
2) Brutes are a relatively new memebr of the covenant, thus meaning that their contact with the Flood has been limited. It may take some time to turn a being in to a combat form, and there may not have been any brutes exposed to the flood for that long to be infected.
3) Brutes may have some natural immunity to infection, like Johnson.

The prophets can most likely be infected, as an infection form is seen burrowing in to Mercy. However, prophets do not look like adequate hsots, and would most likely becoem carriers instead of combat forms. Also, there has only been one known contact between the Flood and a prophet (Mercy), so there may not have been time for a Prophet to be infected.

That leaves Humans and Elites, who can be infected. I believe all races have been covered.

EDIT: Your idea on Gravemind teleporting is certainly plausable. However, the teleportation system is known to work only within a certain network. It worked in Halo 2 because they were right next to Delta Halo. Unless Earth has a hidden teleportation system, i don't think Gravemind could teleport down.

exactlt, but if he could log into watever the covenant found on earth and thats a way to teleport. Or maybe since high charity is abandoned, he doesnt kno wats down there. Master chief will probably go to high charity to get cortana back and MAYBE destroy Gravemind. Could it be possible that he'll crash high Charity into Earth?

omg!! The flood are so funny!!! I want there to be like 1 million more carrier ones.

They just explode sending their own kind, and other carriers flying, who then explode killing more. Its a hillarious and amazing chain-reaction that just makes them so god damn funny!!!

I really hope there are more. I really do!!

But hopefully.... Miranda Keys gets infected. She was impossible to kill before, even with a modded super-giant death laser (scarab lazer, but 22 times larger and 34 times stronger) and she always lived on. So an immortal flood miranda would totally rock!!! Too bad Sarge is immune to infection, 'Coz he'd be one bad ass flood who would totally kill like everyone, and with those two having clearence to so much knowledge, they could use like super nukes or something and blow high charity and loads of covvie capital ships and human emperor ships exploded shards flying high!!!

Oh and the only thing I don't like about the flood is there ever lasting (slightly weaker) energy sword arm that send them flying. 'Don't mind the supr jump though, 'coz rockets then become fun!

Hope we do get to play as a flood though. like in MP or something. Having that flood arm-sword thingy would rock, evenif there defence would stink...

The thing I personal love most is their loyality to me in Halo1. Shoot both arms off on "Keyes" on heroic, and they'll be so loyal and follow me for hours on end. Totally awesome!! They rocked. Even though it was harder onH2 at first, it was nothing a little modding couldn't fix.

BTW. I modded them to have no arms or heads, and for only the fighter/warriors ones to be around, and to have 11 times more of them.

P-S Don't modd online. It's illegal. It's Dumb. It's no fun for other people. It totally wreck the game.

Offline modding is good though. Very fun indeed.

"Thoughts are the shadows of feelings; always darker, emptier, and simpler."

I would love to have the final level be where you kill the Gravemind. And the flood be strong like in Halo 2, and as numerous as in Halo 1.

So hard on legendary!

how do you mod?

Used loads of online guide that I found by searching google. I had to buy "Mecha Assault" "Splinter Cell" and some ther game that i've lost. I only needed one... But I got all 3 for extra moddedge.

But just go find the guides via http://www.google.com .
Splinter Cell was the most useful game though.

Also need some blank CD's though. Or a useful double-ended-USB cord. To use downloaded mods from your PC/LapTop to put onto your 'Box or 360. Get the invincabilty one first. Just trust me. Its the most useful for in the future.

Oh yeah.. Nearly forgot.

The flood is not a menace.
They is fun like!!! 2ottally roXX0rs!!!

And modding. dont do it online or for money. thats just illegal and dumb. only do it for personal use. or showing off. nothing else.

The Flood probably will be on Earth, cuz that would be one hell of a shocker. And Bungie wants us to be shocked.

I think that the way that had it in Halo:CE, because in Halo 2 the infection forms were not target-able like regular enemies. They could hurt you, and you could hurt them, but it wasn't as easy. I do like the enrgy shielding the flood got. The whole "flood getting ressurected by infections" is alright... but in Halo:CE, they could rise only a few times, without the help of the infection forms. If they revert that part to Halo:CE or keep Halo 2, either way I'm happy. I like teh way in Halo 2 you could hit the infection and kill it instantaneously. Also, in Halo 2, destroying arms and head almost always causesd the flood to disintegrate if it survived. It shouldn't do that. Sometimes, it happened it Halo:CE, but rarely. Just because it is ineffective, it shouldn't do that. They would still hurl themselves at you... and at a later time they could become a carrier form.

there would be no reason for the flood to be in the arc. the arc is for organisms to survive the pulse that the halos send out to kill everything that the flood can infect. i personaly wouldnt like to play as the flood. too ugly and they're just zombies. very strong zombies.
