In halo 2, if you want to make a barriacade with boxes to slow down enemies, you have to push the box and hit it with your weapon. This takes alot of time and isnt very realistic.

I think in Halo 3, you should be able to go up to a box and hold down the B button to pick it up. ( a bit like in half life 2 ) You should then be able to move it around and drop it by pressing B again. You could then be able to load up a Warthog with boxes and other objects to go and build a barricade somewhere. If Bugie decide to put a transport Hog in the final game, you could move many boxes at a time.

I know that many people on Halo 2 like to build shops and other things with boxes on maps in custom games. I hope that a member of Bungie staff reads this and considers putting it in the game.

You face an opponent who has never known defeat, who laughs in foreign tongues at your efforts to survive. This is Reply suicide.

Move boxes around by holding down a button?

Here's the problem with that...

If you build a barricade in such a manner...

Wouldn't the enemy easily be able to take it down in the same manner?

The barricades in Halo 2 are effective because they are so hard to move (without explosives).

If this were implemented into Halo 3... It'd be LESS than useful... It'd be just a gimmick to get people to play...

And I'm sick of Gimmicky games. I really am.

Thats true but theyll find a way around it and wont you be able to shoot them while they are stealing your boxes.

I don't know if it would be a good idea or not, but i know that it wouldn't be used much in singleplayer. Mostly because the enemy isn't on the offensive (usually) and because they design singleplayer levels to give you plenty of cover.

Then whats the point in having boxes in most of the multiplayer maps that can be moved, apart than the fact that they look pretty

I do know alot of people who like to just mess around in custom games and not kill each other rather than play matchmaking.

I am your shield, I am you sword (source).

If they made a new gamemode in which you would start by building your own base with boxes before the fighting begins it could work but I think it would be pretty useless otherwise.

These are the pale deaths...

I like that idea, but Im not sure how it would effect gameplay....unless you could throw things at the enemy, to make it more useful in gameplay. So, here is a question, would you move slower/and have less jump with it?

You would move slower and i dont think you should be able to jump at all.
