Subject: Halo 5 theories?

Anyone have any theories about halo 5?

I think the Didact will return to get revenge. Halo 5 is supposed to be the darkest Halo in the entire series, so it should be good.

I do not want to see chief's face

Halo can be described in 3 words. Ancient. Mysterious. Epic!

"spoilers"

I'm gonna say that Cortana will definitely be back, even if just for a short appearance, I'm hoping that this time we will actually go on a halo again, or some other forerunner structure. I'm sure that the Didact will be back, he obviously isn't dead. I'm curious how much story will be shown in the spartan ops, I'm really hoping in halo 5 they explain why the covies are back and why we are fighting the elites again....who is even leading them? Cus last I checked Chief killed all of the prophets, well the ones he didn't others did haha.

Cortana returns and is restored or maybe even upgraded. The Didact reluctantly teams up with Chief and co. to combat the true enemy, the Flood/Precursers. Cliffhanger ending.

Now that Humanity is back at war, maybe it's time to revisit that alliance with the Elites. This should be interesting. They could pull a Halo 2 on Halo 5. We could have a United Nations type thing and Arbiter would be in it.

So, just to make it clear for everyone not familiar with Bungie's Marathon series; rampancy has many stages and the last stage (which is what Cortana ends on) is sentient, so Cortana is alive in a sense. This is why she was able to touch master chief at the end of halo 4.

Eh, no. She could touch the Chief because she was in control of the hard-light. She created a physical version of her avatar.

I was thinking, if Halo 5 was supposed to be the darkest in the series, then what would Halo 6 be? Worse?

Progo, Shrew, Chryso, all are the same.

Master chief is the next level of human evolution, and the didact has been proven wrong. My guess is that Bornstellar will make an appearance, (he is alive, right?) chief will get a forerunner AI in his suit, and an advanced humanity will assume the mantle and do battle with the precursors.

Or the game ends with the beginning of Mass Effect 1... XD

You just lost the game. Now facepalm yourself for clicking this :P

Chief's gonna -blam!- the Didact up. (He's still alive)

What makes you say that? I was pretty sure it was because she reached the final stage of rampancy.

Play that level again and pay attention. Cortana was in the ship's system so she had control of the hardlight bridge. She used it to restrain the Didact and save the Chief by wrapping the hardlight around him. She didn't literally turn into a physical being.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

Halo 4 exhausted the concept of fighting Forerunners, so it's time to introduce the precursors.

As for Halo 6... LOL.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I think precursors and maybe some more flood will make an appearance, but I don't know.

I figured it was because at the last second, she transported them both into The Composer, so he would survive the blast. She could touch him because he was now digital like herself. And that would also explain how he survived a point blank nuclear blast.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

Cheif saves the day....but not fully...something bigger happens...cue Halo 6.

yeah...no.
1. That is Marathon rampancy for one thing, which does not appear to act the same as Halo rampancy.

2. Cortana was always sentient.

3. Becoming metastable wouldn't magically turn you into a real boy. She would still be a machine, and would still manifest as a hologram. The reason she could touch chief and attack the Didact was because she was using hard light.

the composer was destroyed, and MC is immune to it anyway. Not to mention if he was composed by cortana he would have come out an "abomination" when he was returned to organic form (that's what the librarian said happens when decomposing someone).
