Halo1 was concentrated on every part of the game, Halo2 was over concentrated on Multiplayer, lets hope to even it up Halo3 will be overconcentrated on Campagn and if not on everything in general.

Multiplayer sells, campaign does not.

It's simple, Halo 1 sold for the xbox for those who needed single player games - because live wasn't on at that time.

Halo 2 sold for multiplayer since that's where revenue comes from (download content, replayability, etc)

Halo 3 will be multiplayer driven once again.

halo 3 is already sold to everyone that will want one and can get one. with all the other halos already in popularity, halo 3 won't have to over focus on multiplayer. it need only be what it will be, no more no less.

but i bet it will be focused on both. they have plenty of time, unlike halo 2

If it is I truely hope the game goes down in flames. I want to finish the fight, dammit. I don't want some half-assed Campaign and a Multiplayer most people will not use. Hear me Bungie? We already have good multiplayer, now what you need to do is go obsessively in-depth on Campaign. Make it good.
