Yeah so, Dual weilding completely altered its game-play and i'm sure alot of people protested it, just like the sword...but it was still included and it added to the interactivity of the game play and made it more diverse and fun to explore.

Dual wielding created unbalance. Think about it for a second. You've now got half guns (all one-handed guns), and full guns (all two-handed guns), and in order to match a two-handed gun you need to pick up two one-handed guns. So what happens when you've got just one half-gun? (for example, when you spawn!) You're defensless against the people who spawn near the *better* two-handed guns..

I know, dual weilding was unbalanced but it was still realistic, not every fight is fair and that makes the war more real. Its not just about skill, its about luck and speed. If you want a balanced match. I'm not saying it was a balanced choice, im saying it added to strategy and it made things more interesting and realistic. If you add a 3 foot alien, it would make things harder for aiming but make him unable to use dual weilding or large weapons but make him quick and make him able to dive. I beleive bungie made the right choice putting in dual weilding.

I know, most people play as spartan and thats what i'm saying, its there choice and its up to the players, but its up to the programmers to give them that choice.

I didnt mean this as a default part of the game, but admit and all hunters game would be fun or funny to have. Just for the hell of it, nothing serious you know.

edit:

If you look back on Halo:CE, alot of it was unbalanced, the weapons were unfair but thats life, thats war. Especially on the computer version, banshees in multi-player were the ultimate noob weapon.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA misfit this guy cracks me up!........PK your a noob

Let's not turn this into a flame war.

What you just displayed was character assassination. In other words, attacking the messanger instead of the message.

If you can prove me wrong intelligently, I'll gladly change my view.

By calling me a "noob" (out of context, I must add!) you accomplish nothing.

Sure, playing as grunts and hunters would be fun

I've played as a Grunt. It's NOT FUN. You turn a corner, and your ALLIES accidentally get a shot off at an enemy that clips you in the head. You die. Instantly. On Easy.

BTW, I used an AR save.

I know, dual weilding was unbalanced but it was still realistic,

Realism doesn't matter in a game, other than to add to the story. Gameplay matters in a game.

not every fight is fair and that makes the war more real. Its not just about skill, its about luck and speed.

Luck and speed get frustrating. Your argument that fights aren't always fair, can be turn around on you. Say you end up in a game against a modder. You are upset because the modder clearly has an unfair advantage over you. But all fights aren't fair, after all. ;)

It took away from skill and balance. All the realism in the world won't make up for that.

I know, most people play as spartan and thats what i'm saying, its there choice and its up to the players, but its up to the programmers to give them that choice.

As long as it's a choice, and not a forced gameplay element.

I didnt mean this as a default part of the game, but admit and all hunters game would be fun or funny to have. Just for the hell of it, nothing serious you know.

Well, a "just for the hell of it" gametype wouldn't bother me at all. I'd support it, as long as it doesn't become the central focus of gameplay. :)

lol, i guess i will wait until tomorrow to start a thread about it, but if you can, go download the video and look at it.

i recommend the large HD version because i downloaded the small version first and you can't see it there

I'm sure the high-up theorists have already picked through the whole thing pixel by pixel. I'm afraid nothing new can be found at this point. I applaud your effort though.

OH come ON look at me and say you would'nt like to see an all destructable enviroment? Aint you just tired to shoot a rocket at the dirt floor and all you see is a black mark?

If you play against a modder.. report him . :)
I obviously didnt mean modders, i meant the actually real game, not stupid hacking losers who have no skill nor luck.

Sure it will! If your skilled enough, you'll be able to succeed, you dont have to be a grunt to understand that. Bungie can and will find a way to make it all balanced if they do decide to put in, or make it as balanced as possible anyway.

I agree, balance is needed, but balance can make a game boring too.

Destructable environments are another issue. I'd like to see some terrain deformation in that aspect, but not total destruction. Levels still need to retain their restricting borders.

I know you weren't talking about modders, but the same concept applies. If it's not fair, it's not enjoyable for both parties. That's the bottom line.

Bungie has done a lot of things right, and they've done a lot of things wrong. I'm not sure what they'll do this time around.

Balance is only boring if variety isn't implemented alongside of it.

Halo 1 had balance.
Halo 2 had variety.

There needs to be a middle ground between the two.

Borders for sure, but i'd love to see you be able to take down a tree and use it as cover or break down some walls with a strong enough weapon. You shoot at the top of a cliff, parts of it crumble down, just for fun/strategy.

Yes, but its different because if the modder is enough of an ass, even if your extremely skilled you wouldnt be able to win. If you have a pro using a grunt against someone of moderate skill who is an MC then it would make an even fight, thus making it balanced.

We'll have to wait and see, but i'm sure that they will fix alot of Halo 2's errors and try there best to make something new and fresh. Its not Halo 2, so yes there will be new game-play features. I hate playing a game then playing the sequal and finding out its exactly the same.
I want gore, i want variety and i want balance. Thats my opinion.

:)

Finally, some common ground. :) I'd like to see Halo 3 take after Crysis in that aspect.

True enough. However, I think skill should be the main determining factor in a fight, not pre-chosen differences.

Although the Sequel shouldn't stray too far away from its roots.

I dont know, but i really enjoyed the destruction in Black, like shooting through walls.. just made it insane for me.. but i'd love to see even more destruction, better explosions.

It wouldnt determine it, just make it more of a lengthy fight instead of a BAM BAM 3 second noobs dead -blam!-! I'm tired of killing people who suck so easily.

I guess we'll have to put our trust in Bungie, for once
