I know, dual weilding was unbalanced but it was still realistic,
Realism doesn't matter in a game, other than to add to the story. Gameplay matters in a game.
If you want a balanced match. I'm not saying it was a balanced choice, im saying it added to strategy and it made things more interesting and realistic. If you add a 3 foot alien, it would make things harder for aiming but make him unable to use dual weilding or large weapons but make him quick and make him able to dive. I beleive bungie made the right choice putting in dual weilding.
It took away from skill and balance. All the realism in the world won't make up for that.
I know, most people play as spartan and thats what i'm saying, its there choice and its up to the players, but its up to the programmers to give them that choice.
As long as it's a choice, and not a forced gameplay element.
I didnt mean this as a default part of the game, but admit and all hunters game would be fun or funny to have. Just for the hell of it, nothing serious you know.
Well, a "just for the hell of it" gametype wouldn't bother me at all. I'd support it, as long as it doesn't become the central focus of gameplay. :)
OH come ON look at me and say you would'nt like to see an all destructable enviroment? Aint you just tired to shoot a rocket at the dirt floor and all you see is a black mark?
If you play against a modder.. report him . :)
I obviously didnt mean modders, i meant the actually real game, not stupid hacking losers who have no skill nor luck.
Sure it will! If your skilled enough, you'll be able to succeed, you dont have to be a grunt to understand that. Bungie can and will find a way to make it all balanced if they do decide to put in, or make it as balanced as possible anyway.
I agree, balance is needed, but balance can make a game boring too.
Destructable environments are another issue. I'd like to see some terrain deformation in that aspect, but not total destruction. Levels still need to retain their restricting borders.
I know you weren't talking about modders, but the same concept applies. If it's not fair, it's not enjoyable for both parties. That's the bottom line.
Bungie has done a lot of things right, and they've done a lot of things wrong. I'm not sure what they'll do this time around.
Balance is only boring if variety isn't implemented alongside of it.
Halo 1 had balance.
Halo 2 had variety.
There needs to be a middle ground between the two.
