My opinion-
Halo 4 is not a fun game to play. Every time I put in the disk and go into "War games", I keep looking through the playists trying to find one to play (Not to mention the new -blam!- menus). In each halo, I had different reasons for picking playlists, in H3, I would try to get 50s in playlists. In reach, I met choose grifball to get a challenge. In H4, Ill look through the playlists for 5 minutes without particulary wanting to play any, eject the disk, and put in AC3.
343 butchered almost all the best gametypes of halo. "Flood" suffers from a bad CoD type lag, with infected players almost always getting from the grave kills with a goddamn sword. Where the -blam!- is some good old FFA? Regicide is terrible.
Each halo had its own feel with campaign. CE it was discovery, in H2 it was a sort of mysterious feel while playing as the arbiter and in H3 it was a climactic sense of urgency. Halo 4 feels like a rushed action movie sequel. You know what I mean? The sequel were everything was taken care of in the first movie, all the loose ends tied up, but then they throw out a sequel were the main character has kids and the villains son from the first one is out to get him because the writer didnt feel like making a new one.
Point is, I want to love it, but they make it too hard. There was absolutely no need to copy you-know-what for all the multiplayer ideas. Halo is one of the most established gaming franchises. Why did they feel the need to put in killcams, care packages (ordanance drops, dont deny it...), perks and custom classes.
I would have much rather would have played Halo 3.5 then call of halo 4.
