These ideas are soley for the purpose of making Bungie the most Community-Friendly video game company in the Universe. Post your ideas if you have any.

Here are some original ideas I made on my own:

1) Goodnight
Every night a Bungie Employee wishes its community to have a good night. May be followed by a bedtimes story/song of their choice. Kisses will have to be distributed individually.

2) Therapy
Bungie Employees will give advice to at least 34 members per day. Such topics will include relationship advice, what to wear before bed, how much salad to make for four people, and what kind of food to eat on rainy Wednesdays.

More to come.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

What.

More seriously, I wouldn't mind seeing more gold on the forums when Bungie's next game gets revealed. I think being able to interact with the minds behind the game directly would prove most enlightening.

I'm not saying that they should answer every little question or demand, or that they should take a ton of time out of their schedule towards this endevor, I just think it's cool how companies like Riot have high interactivity with the folks on their forums. People will have criticisms or concerns, and experts who are in charge of those disciplines will drop in and occasionally address those concerns, and some really interesting conversations can end up developing.

Perhaps it's simply because the folks at Riot are in a better position to make changes to their game than Bungie is (patches are unfortunately costly on Xbox Live), or perhaps they simply have way more free time, but I definitely wouldn't mind seeing more of Ferrex and the other developers when Destiny comes around.

[Announcement Trailer] Halo: Forerunner

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

I'd like to see more engagement with the community a la Activision-Blizzard.

I realize engagement is a vague and largely encompassing term, but Blizzard does a fantastic job of not simply responding to questions but actively engaging in conversations (and trust me I am loath to praise Blizzard). With a game like WoW being constantly in flux, system designers are pretty vocal on the forums directly addressing topics of contention (patch changes or hotfixes more often than not) that players have with the game or with decisions that have been made. Bungie, too does some of that (like weighing in on the change in the BR from Halo 2 to Halo 3) but what Blizzard does well, which I have yet to see Bungie do, is actively explain and have a discussion about their reasoning for implementing original design decisions and changes.

There is a philosophical thought process that goes on in designers heads, but players only get to see and comment on the final decisions. It helps immensely to be able to have an actual conversation about the thought process behind implementing this or that change and what the ultimate goal of the decision was. Players are able to get a better understanding of why specific aspects of the game are the way they are and designers are able to see feedback (while they are professionals, sometimes - just sometimes - players can have a better understanding into how to achieve a desired goal with changes the designers haven't even thought of). These conversations allow designers to discuss what went right, what went wrong, and to solicit feedback on how they can better achieve specific goals in the future (again, I stress these are honest dialogs - back and forths meant to make for a better game and community - not just Q and A's or a brief decree).

I realize that the ever changing nature and large player base that are inherent in MMOs dictates this kind of community engagement (whereas it is probably deemed much less of a necessity for the games Bungie has made), but I feel it is just as important for design decisions in FPS's like Halo (or even design decisions regarding the website). Buried in the slew of "where's my recon" threads, there is an intelligent and knowledgeable player base that is a valuable resource waiting to be tapped.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

I think that the Bungie employees should send me presents and make me feel special. Perhaps DeeJ should make a news item about how great i am. That would be a good start.

Best way to improve relations with the community is to get some sleep on launch day for The New Hotness(TM) and then jump right into matchmaking with us the day after.

It's been far too long, and they've kept us in the dark for so long. Bungie is near and dear to my heart, and yet I feel so "distant" from them in a sense, when it comes to developers.

I've got devs from BioWare, Epic Games, Naughty Dog, Ubisoft and even 343 Industries that I routinely chat with, and yet few of any from Bungie even communicate.

After launch of Mass Effect 3, I was playing multiplayer with the lead writers, producers etc. Giving them ideas, talking with them. Heck, I was one of the first to badger them about a retaking Omega storyline. And voila, a few months later it's now a DLC about to come out. They said it's because they listen to fans, but when I asked them, the producer and writer who responded said it was an interesting idea. When I brought it up again during a multiplayer session, he said he passed the idea down to the writing department and that it could work and that I was one of a few players/fans who mentioned this.

Now I'm not trying to brag or nothing, but even though I have nothing to do with the games industry or what they do, it feels like you become part of the game with them.

I've chatted with Neil Davidge (score for Halo 4), Sam Hulick (score for Mass Effect 2,3) and yet I have never gotten a single reply from Marty.

Obviously Bungie is hard at work, but how could a studio who was renowned for their community, who have probably the best site out of any dev I've ever known feel so distant?
