Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.
The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

Posted by: the real JanakaHuh, didn't I suggest that it might be revealed at the VGA, and then have a trailer at the e3? :P It wouldn't be the first time that's happened. Plus, if Destiny is released after the e3, wouldn't it have a trailer or in-game walkthrough or something there, no matter if it's announced before?
Unvailing Destiny too close to the next Xbox, however, might hurt how the game is perceived. Its graphics might be eclipsed, which could lead to the game being unfairly overlooked (you know how the masses are). Also, releasing something at the end of a cycle isn't the smartest thing to do since a huge amount of people tend to hold back and wait for the next cycle to begin.
It's a tricky situation. The best way would be to get people used to seeing and knowing the game before the next-gen storm begins.
If I got to choose; Bungie would completely ignore the expos and unvail it when they saw fit, and have other trailers, etc, at various expos thereafter.
