(Original thread title was about coolest planetside 2 moments)
Probably right after I signed up... when I closed it and haven't touched it since.
The signup page is broken as -blam!- (accepts the "/" character but doesn't tell you it's not technically allowed, you can't use it in the second field, password wise).
Additionally all of the good names for everything are taken, literally tried almost everything I could think of before getting something acceptable.
The game doesn't have a gamepad profile by default, requiring you to configure every control yourself if you want to use one.
The game is unoptimized as -blam!-. I have my desktop plugged into an 865W UPS, and maxing out the graphics options managed to pull 110% of that available power (all 4 GPUs were at 70%), making it hiss at me. I guess a crossfire profile will eventually fix this, but still.
Upon spawning into the game for my first time, I was killed within 5 seconds by an enemy tank lingering in the area.
The only reason I even got through the horrible signup process to get killed in their immensely unoptimized game was because I had it recommended to me by a friend.
Upon dying I got to experience yet another blunder. The god -blam!- awful GUI layout. It's layout is itself unintuitive (not highlighting currently selected menu items when you hover over them, where buttons are located). The biggest frustration coming from them not having any damn keys mapped for standard functions (eg esc should preform the back operation).
From 4 hours of downloading, 1 hour of sign-up / setup, and less than 5 seconds of play: I would rate this game 1/5.
[end of rant]

You have to signup at the Planetside2.com and everything will work fine.

Game is unoptimized but they are working on it.

If you spawn in a zone where there is a lot of fighting, it's your own fault. You could also spawn at main base or any zones that's not so busy.

4 hours? wow. I installed this game in 35-40 minutes.
