Would it be better for the elites to have different skills than master chief vise-versa?

Maybe, cuz elites will be sniped REAL easy considering I've been sniping them single player for a few years. Elites should definately jump higher, I don't know about other stuff.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Then that would make the teams unfair if their were advantages/disadvantages. Its the same so that if you lose someone can't say "Well the Elites are better so I have an excuse blah blah blah whine whine whine etc."

This is how it could balance out. (For a specific gametype that I call "The War"

For the Elites and their advantages

1. Stronger shields
2. Higher jumps
3. Faster runners

Disadvantages

1. Limited to Covenant weapons
2. Limited to Covenant vehicles
3. Unable to use anything human

Now for the UNSC

Advantages

1. Faster shield recharge
2. Use of most Covenant weapons
3. Use of several Covenant vehicles

Disadvantages

1. Slower
2. Unable to use the plasma sword or fuel rod gun or a few "new vehicles"
3. Weaker shield wise

That sounds pretty fair

I dunno. . . limiting weaponry would be too much of a disadvantage for Covenant I think. Unless there was a perfectly balanced covenant weapon for each human one (and I highly doubt there will be), the humans would have a huge edge.

For the sake of fairness, I think the only difference that should be made ought to be weapons load out. Covenant start with plasma and humans with their machine guns. Weapons loadout would provide a fairly large difference without risking imbalance, and, trust me, if you want to throw in shield power, speed, etc. differences the game will not make it to shelves properly balanced. One race will end up with a slight advantage somewhere and there'd be no avoiding it.

There is no difference, it's cosmetic I read it in the IGN summation.

Well, it did look like the Elite jumped higher than the MC in the E3 multiplayer demo. But, I could be wrong.

I think they should be even cause if they're were different advantages and disadvantages people would make excuses that they're not good with that guy and that it wasnt fair and all that bull.

Even as a default, yes but Bungie should make it so you can change each of the things for each side. That would be nice. Sort of make 4 Legendary players with 250% health leabing the other 12 with 100% and limitng those 4 to only Covenant stuff. That seems fair to me.
