Another car you could consider is the 02-06 Acura RSX Type S. I just purchased one, and so far it has been a great little car to DD. Engines are damn near bulletproof, too.
I don't know. I've never been a fan of Acura.

You really need better choices then those you have. Nothing else you have considered?
These are what I narrowed it down to. I have to take into consideration: price, availability, maintenance costs, how much it'd raise my insurance, where can I get it worked on, etc.

What do you have in mind?

Depends on what you want out of it. You want a "sports" car, so do you go to the track? How often? What kind of performance do you want from your car?

"Sports" as in like a coupe (or in the case of the Mustang, a pony car). I don't go to a track as I have no need to go to one. What kind of performance? Honestly, I just wanna have a fast car.

None of those are especially fast.

have you ever tried a Fiesta? they're fun cars, especially when you swap the engine for a focus' engine, completely worth it if you want speed and agility on a track.

I thought about a Mazda RX-7/8 for a awhile, but that wankel engine would have killed me and my wallet...

you're kidding me right? yes, they look a little fruity, but they're good cars. I could probably beat any of the cars you suggested on the track with the 2012 fiesta I modded in the past 2 years. I sold it for double what I put into and paid for it because people saw how well it preformed on the track.

for those wondering : I got 40k back for a car I paid 10k for, and put in 13k worth of mods into Oh and the $300 Paintjob...

Nvm about the fiesta then, it's only really worth it with a 20K budget. Try a lancer if you're into it, it's a decent car for the price.

Have you looked into 4th gen Camaros? Some of the early 2000's Z/28s have 300hp LS1s and 6-speeds. Nice ones go for $6,000 to $7,000ish, depending. They're worth considering IMO.

I have not looked into Camaros.

Check Craigslist and cars.com. I'd get one if I had the money. Instead,I bought a 1990 camaro rs 3.1 v6 auto for $900. Its decent, and it survived 11 months of hard driving, so its good enough for now. Camaros are definitely worth looking into.

That's another thing: durability.

I don't plan on driving my car too hard (lol), but I do want a car that would last a while. So, you say Camaro's would be decent for that? What about the three I mentioned? I know the Mustang probably would, and I know that Audi's are great in that department, I don't know about the Nissan though.

  • 11.24.2012 11:38 PM PDT

They'd be comparable to a mustang, the Audi would probably be the most reliable. No clue about the Nissan.

Good purpose

Children also like to have cars but the important is if someone need the kids cars with remote and which must be fast speedy as well. What should I do for this purpose ?

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

Cars I'm in love with? My 1991 Mx5 Miata. Cars I would love to own? Realistically I'd love to own a datsun 260Z or a Datsun 510. Unrealistically, a Lotus Elan or a 2000GT.

Off your list, I'd go for a Manual 2001 Audi TT quattro Coupe in dark gray.
