They'd be comparable to a mustang, the Audi would probably be the most reliable. No clue about the Nissan.
Well, thanks so much for your input. :)

You have my heart. Marry me?

Off your list, I'd go for a Manual 2001 Audi TT quattro Coupe in dark gray. Damn straight :)

The Audi and maybe the Nissan will cost a lot in maintence, my friend's A4 cost a lot and the TT is higher then that. I would go for the Mustang, can't beat an American V8. Maintence isn't terrible either. Just try to get an 06 or up, 05 was the first year for that body style and cars always tend to have weird problems like rattles during the first year of production. They normally get worked out pretty quick though.

That's what I'm here for. My best guess is that the Nissan would be slightly more reliable/durable just because its Japanese, and Japanese cars last forever.

Seems I need a lot of time to think this over.

I'm still leaning towards the Audi because I love them, but all three of them are tempting in their own ways.

Thanks for all your input, guys.

C'mon... Turbo quattro coupe.

That's not bad, personally i'd go with something that has a little more power but go with whatever makes you happy, test drive each car before you buy.

You should also consider a Honda S2000. You can get one for around $9,000. It'll be mountains more fun than the three you have listed, but it'd also be the most impractical.

That being said, I drive a Miata as a daily driver. I just get friends help when I need to transport big things. It's not as big a problem as people make it out to be.

I'd go for an S2000 before an Audi, entirely because of the undeniable reliability of Honda. The only bad thing I can say about the Honda is that I've heard from a previous owner/enthusiest (who now owns an Rx7 with a corvette Z06 engine) that the S2000 community sucks balls.

In my opinion, Audi isn't really worth getting unless you get the most up to date model/interior. However, they are still great. A lot of guys drive R8's and stuff around where I live, so I get heavily influenced by the idea of being 'up to date'. That mustang is looking good though.

Go with the Nissan, they are always fast, easy to maintain, hardly ever brake and well because its Japanese!

Just to say, Audi TT's are seen as -blam!--blam!- cars in England.

I fell in love with my 2012 Chrysler 300. Didn't think I was going to but she's just so smooth and classy!

Also, I love the 70's El Camino. Mmm.

It is very dark, and you are likely to be eaten by a Grue.

I would also second the S2000 recommendation. Besides that I would suggest an STI, but you can't get one with your budget. Maybe a nice older bugeye WRX though.

The Mustang would be the cheapest route as far as maintenance. You don't want to venture into euro maintenance.

Just buy an Impreza.

Get a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 limited. Same engine from the Durango of that time. Or a Subaru SVX. A classic.

350z is a cool car if you don't own one, the interior seems cheap to me and way to small for me (i'm 6'0"). Plus the Mustang GT would blow the doors off the 350z and the Audi.

Completely and totally this, except the 350z being a cool car part.

Ford Mustangs from the 00's are AWFUL. Most uncomfortable, lazy, slow POS cars made in America. I'd rather drive around in a Chrystler minivan.

Nissan 350z is the way to go.

My '01 Cobra says you're wrong.

Nate - Project Tool Designer

2005 Ford Mustang GT: Live rear axle attached to a car that can scarcely produce 170hp/ton.

2005 Nissan 350z: It's a pretty nice car, but I couldn't imagine trying to justify buying one when the 370z makes it look positively archaic.

2002 Audi TT: This generation of TT looks like it was made for a hairdresser named Barb, but likes to go by the name Babs with her friends. I will concede that the '06 Mk2 Typ 8Js were a dramatic improvement in the aesthetic category, and the addition of the multi-link IRS.

My personal recommendation that is the result of my extreme bias? Get a 2001-2006 (E46 gen) M3, but avoiding the SMG gearbox.
