2005 Ford Mustang GT: Live rear axle attached to a car that can scarcely produce 170hp/ton.

2005 Nissan 350z: It's a pretty nice car, but I couldn't imagine trying to justify buying one when the 370z makes it look positively archaic.

2002 Audi TT: This generation of TT looks like it was made for a hairdresser named Barb, but likes to go by the name Babs with her friends. I will concede that the '06 Mk2 Typ 8Js were a dramatic improvement in the aesthetic category, and the addition of the multi-link IRS.

My personal recommendation that is the result of my extreme bias? Get a 2001-2006 (E46 gen) M3, but avoiding the SMG gearbox.
I have a feeling if you weren't in the game industry you would have gone into the auto industry.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

The '05 GT had 305 hp at the flywheel stock.
They were about 260+/- hp at the rear wheels.

Are you referring to the V6?

They'd be comparable to a mustang, the Audi would probably be the most reliable. No clue about the Nissan.

>Audi
>Reliable

I laughed hard. Audis are known for there unreliability. I love them but they are pretty bad.

Nissans are extremely reliable.

2005 Ford Mustang curb weight: V8 coupe MT/AT - 3,480 lb (1,579 kg)/3,525 lb
300 hp (224 kW) @ 5750 rpm
305/(3480/2000) = 172hp/ton

I see. I've never heard of it that way before.

So you're implying it's too heavy / not enough power?

Stupid ass washing machine...

I'm very much a classic, "good times" music and pine forests kind of guy when it comes to my cars. I'm all about the atmosphere.

So for my three:

1963 Chevy truck, in burnt orange

1983 Audi Quattro Turbo (still one of the best rally cars out there in my opinion)

Orange VW Camper. Because, that's why.

Well, 2 of the 3 are achievable.
Unless of course you have very deep financial resources.

Get a Lotus Exige or Elise with a supercharged engine.

  • 11.25.2012 1:36 PM PDT

~Thread-killer~

Out of those three, I'd pick the Ford, even though I usually despise all things from the Blue oval. The V8 will be easier to work on than the other two.

Check your area to see if you can come across any used Cobalt SS. The car is stupid fast with the Turbo version mated to a manual trans, and It's one of the most underrated cars of the last decade.

Also keep your eye out for any used Dodge Charger/Magnum RT vehicles. They're beastly, and they can move when so inclined. My friend has an Magnum R/T and just added the SRT-8 Magnum to his arsenal. Both are very fast, and the MPG's aren't bad at all, especially if you can score an '07 or '08 RT with the MDS Hemi. Same goes for any Dodge Rams, like my '07 silver Ram.

About me: I am a vicious wolf of a man.

But really am sweet at heart. =)

Well, I have my want cars broken down into several catagories.

What I can actually afford:

Nice little Subaru Outback/ Not much power, but fun as hell to drive with AWD

Subaru Forester, what I currently drive with 250,000 miles. Would readily buy another. It's really quirky and responsive for an SUV, love this thing. Nearly indestructable as well.

What I would love but are much to expensive.

BMW M3

BMW 5 Series BMW M5. Both are way out of my league, but I love me a Beemer. They just look fantastic.

Only in my wildest dreams:

Mercedes Benz AMG Just...want.

I came.

Will never happen, but a man can dream.

Bruce Wayne owns 2

For me, fun is more important than power. I don't need a giant engine if the car is light enough. On that note, yeah Porsche isn't on the list because I gather that as a 6 foot 2 tall person, I couldn't fit inside one.

0-60 in barely under 6 seconds is "stupid fast"...? I'll give you the stupid but... I'm not so sure about the fast part. FF... no thanks.

Life is like a clogged toilet. It's full of crap until you do something about it.

I don't speak Karate!

Get a frickin Ford Fusion or something, and be a practical little pain in the ass instead of an annoying luxurious one.

/trololol, but serious, get a Fusion.
