Subject: A Series of Unfortunate Events (please don't click this thread)

Did anyone here read the books? I'm just curious to know how many read the books or seen the movie for that matter. What did you fine ladies and gentlemen think of it?

I honestly hope you didn't read the books if you are the type of person that gets easily depressed. Unless you are interested into the lives of the Baudelaire orphans, I wouldn't recommend reading about them. It was my sad duty to document the tale. If anything I suggest you start from book number 13.

But if you did read all 13 or seen the movie for that matter, what did you think?

I'm hated by many, but loved by none.

Wait....you made this so people wouldn't look at it?

I read all the books as a kid. I was actually thinking of them, earlier today.

I hated the movie, it wasn't very true to the books.

Captain Underpants > Series of Unfortunate Events

Because it's about a pretty unforunate tale.

Eh, the books were alright. The movie sucked.

  • 11.24.2012 11:29 PM PDT

The movie was an absolute disgrace.

  • 11.24.2012 11:29 PM PDT

I completely concur with you sir. The movie failed to follow the books well. The books weren't a really happy thing either, but they were less dreadful than the movie.

The only books I ever paid for via school were those in The Captain Underpants Series.

It was worth every cent of my birthday money.

Those books were my childhood. Thank you, Mr. Snicket.

I also enjoyed Captain Underpants. It brought me some joy and a good break from the Baudelaire Orphans.

Wait, why would you not want people to click this thread? Anyways the books were alright, the movie sucked if IIRC.

  • 11.24.2012 11:37 PM PDT

Because it's about three unlucky children and a repulsive villain.

Because you don't understand the thread.

OT: Yes I loved the books, they always intrigued my young mind but I really wasn't a big fan of the movie.

You know, I am not one to really notice an account creation date, but I really hope you don't turn out to be an alt made purely to troll and waste time. What you're doing right now, stick with it.

I <3 both the books and the movie!

Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

10/10

I loved them. The ending of the end was so damn sad... I really should get back into them.

What did VFD end up standing for? Volunteer Fire Department was it?

I want to read these books ago. Damn you

Maybe that could have gone into a PM...and not ruin the joke of this thread.
