>Playing Fallout 3
U wot m8.
Play Fallout 2 or at least New Vegas, do yourself a favor and throw your FO3 copy into the toilet.
I have played the original Fallouts, and yes, they're amazing. I don't understand why people hate on Fallout 3 though.
>Breaks the cannon in many ways
>Recycled plot from FO 1&2
>Black or White ending, the same for all quests
>Unkillable characters
>Green filter everywhere
>Super Mutants
>Enclave
>A good Brotherhood of Steel
>Three Dog
>Fetch quests everywhere
>Spending half of the game on the tunnels
>Retarded Karma and XP systems
>Very few quests
>No backstory in most characters
>Lack of weapon variety
>Many useless perks
>Lack of voice actors
>Making Aliens canon
>Retarded dialog
>A percentage chance in getting a speech check right, instead of needing lots of skills
>No plantlife
>Everybody living in destroyed shacks instead of trying to rebuild civilization (Which is the main focus of the Fallout series, not exploring a desolated wasteland like FO3 makes it out to be)
>Being able to blow up Megaton, and later give 2000 caps or donate 15 water bottles to make up for the bad karma, hence why I mentioned retarded karma system
>It never rains
>No dark humor and satire, which are bases of the FO series
>People LIVING around a giant nuke, when people in the FO world are supposed to be afraid of anything nuclear
>The so called BoS "Outcasts" being the bad BoS, when they were actually the real BoS
>No new actual setting, just rehashes of old enemies from the series
And many other things.
That's what's wrong with FO3.
>The Enclave could have simply siege The Citadel. And wait for the BoS to die from starvation.
>In Broken Steel you can Nuke the Citadel from orbit. So if the Enclave has a way to wipe out the BoS from that area. Why didn't they do it?
>The Enclave didn't know about Liberty Prime being stored in the basement of the Pentagon. Which is strange because the Enclave is a shadow government of the United States.
>Little Lamplight. Those kids are living in a cave that has a Vault with Super Mutants in it. So why didn't the Mutants kill the kids or turn them into Mutants?
>Ghoulification ONLY occurs with *just* the right amount of radiation exposure. But if you blow up Megaton that chick turns into one. Which means she became a Ghoul in an instant. She should have died from that amount of radiation.
>They killed Power Armor. In Fallout 2 if I was wearing lets say Advance Power I was near invincible in it. If some one like a normal human punched me. Their attack did no damage at all. But In Fallout 3 and New Vegas I can get owned by a bunch of Feral ghouls punching me. Even though I'm wearing this stuff called Power Armor.
Really. Besides the looks and the extra carrying capacity some forms give you. What purpose does it have now? Because it's certainly is not doing it's job when a person can kill me. By either punching me, or shooting at me with a 9mm pistol. The armor should be near impenetrable to most attacks(The helmet can be the weakest part.).
The armor should stop health damage from:
-BB guns.
-Miniguns.
-Shotguns.
-Assault rifle.
-SMG/Pistols.
-Sniper rifles(Not including the including the Anti Material Rifle.)
-Punches from non Super mutants and Deathclaws.
-Any normal melee weapon.
The armor would still take armor damage from them, but they wouldn't affect my health. Some weapons would cause more armor damage than others. Like an Assault rifle would cause more damage than a SMG.
The weapons that should cause armor and health damage would be:
-Super Sledge.
-Punches from Super mutants and Deathclaws.
-Energy weapons.
-High powered weapons like the Anti Material Rifle.
Now explosive type weapons would act in both parties. Depending on how close the blast was too me. I would either take both armor and health damage, or just armor damage.
