So i was thinking, if we got to play as covenant for halo 2, perhaps 3 should give us the flood? Of course this seems impossible, but what if there was a level where the cheif is infected and you have to fight through flood, humans and covenant to get to a certain point to hopefully be cured before its too late. I think a lot of cool gameplay effects could be integrated through such a scenario, and something that would add a bit of gameplay variety.

No.

p.s. There is no cure... other than death.

thats not really true. Johnson survived the flood by "supposedly" being close to plasma charges, making him immune.

Yea, oftentimes I've considered that exact same thing... you got to see things from a covenant perspective in Halo 2, why not from a flood perspective in Halo 3. I don't know if you've played either of these games, but both Area 51 and Farcry: Instincts integrated something alot along the same lines... it was fun.

However, why not kill two birds with one stone? See, kill off teh Arbiter by getting HIM infected... you get to play as him for a while, trying to do something all noble and arbiter-like... and then he dies! Everyone wins!

yeah thats not a bad idea. I was thinking more along the lines that they would have to sacrifice johnson to save the chief so that the chief coudl save the earth though.

That is not a cure. That's a vaccine, and it was mearly by luck. Getting radiation poising isn't the best vaccine.

If it were to be like Vanes idea, then maybe. You're still the arbiter, but not really.

Yea, I just think it would be sweet to kill off the Arbiter... and what better way to do it than have him turn into the flood? Maybe Jonston could be the one who ends up killing the Arbiter as a Flood Combat Form... THAT would be ironic.

yes but the chief witholds the information about Johnson because he thinks that they would likely take Johnson's life in trying to create a cure. I could be wrong, im just going off the top of my head in this, but that is what i remember.
