I heard someone say once (paraphrasing here) "Multiflag on Blood Gulch with your friends is what makes Halo, Halo." I GUARANTEE that more people agree with that sentiment than "Getting a 50 in MLG is what makes Halo, Halo." - Oboewan42

You coudln't be more wrong.

1) Campaign was made using the FF maps

2) People -blam!-ed to no end about this. It was far worse than H4 and SpOps.

Implying they complained about it as much as people do with 343i.
Obviously you haven't been around here much.

I never liked the idea of Spartan Ops. They should of gone further down the road of firefight

They failed with the mission designs and map designs. I enjoy the story and the clip you get to watch.

That was totally different, those firefight maps were made first and then implemented into campaign, in other words, the campaign used firefight maps.
They are still the same maps regardless.

Even though the firefight maps were used in campaign, this is different.

Remember in Halo CE when you went through the "Assault on the Control Room" mission backwards? That's something I would expect from a 2001 release game, and it's a good way for developers to cut corners, Hell every Halo game has had a mission where you essentially go through a previous mission backwards.

But 343i has us going to the same locations as part of the story, literally, areas that Crimson's team cleared out a few days ago they return only to find another shooting gallery and some buttons to press. It just looks lazy.

Yes, I know my username is the 330th sequel to a terrible movie. You don't have to keep telling me.

You shouldn't expect much from a community company's first game.

It's very well-done though, CGI and story-wise.

Plus this is suppose to be like a mini campaign, not a shooting gallery in the same maps every week.
Wait.. I really don't know so don't freak but... do the spartan ops take place inside the ship?

No Spartan Ops is all canon, which is why a lot people were confused as to why Valhalla was used for one of the missions. Valhalla was on The Ark, not Requiem.

Two movies you should watch: Fight Club and Pineapple Express

"Wait. What do you mean, it's dead?"
"If marijuana is not legal within the next five years I have no faith left in humanity, period. Everyone likes smoking weed. They have for thousands of years. They're not going to stop anytime soon. You know? It makes everything better. Makes food taste better, makes music better. It makes sex feel better for God's sake. It makes -blam!- movies better you know?"

Lol they just said that as an excuse. They just didn't want people to know what was up.

"You are the last of your kind: bred for combat, built for war. You're the master of any weapon, pilot of any vehicle, and fear no enemy"

It's meh. Simply meh.

I agree. I was ok with them reusing maps for and Campaign terrain for a while..... but we've been back to that Forerunner structure that had the shields at the top about 6 times now. It just completely breaks my immersion where I have to force myself to try and accept it.

You know what would be really good about now? Forge World.

Oh and anyone else utterly bored of fighting Prometheans? Man I didn't think I'd get so bored so fast, I love seeing those Phantoms coming in because I know there will be some variety.

Yeah really, 343i's CRAZY NEW faction is comprised of 3 enemy types...

Don't play Spartan Ops.

The simple solutions are usually the best ones.

I just wanted to point this out.

The human element always mucks things up.

All the time wasted on SO should have been spent on the 5 hour campaign.

Yeah, the rest are from multiplayer.

Save for the one called Cauldron.

Seeing as this is the first time anyone has ever attempted something like this as a side option, you'll have to forgive them for the technology and experience simply being too limited to handle so much.

The section I've bighlighted in bold is the main issue I've had with it too. It doesn't really make sense that the UNSC would leave areas undefended after having to clear them out 5 or 6 times surely?

It's not lazy, it's impossible not to recycle maps. There's simply not enough time and resources to make brand new missions each week.

They really should of held back the release to December or even next year.

They did this for free. What do you expect? If it's not free for S2 then maybe they will make new environments.

If you made something new and spent a lot of time and money on
it and it had -blam!- sales wouldn't you be pissed?

Even if they did hold back the release it would of been the same thing where it would be the same environments since they would want to spend the least amount of money and man power to make it if its free.

Yeah, that mission should have been titled "Ragnorak" right? There's no way they went on the Ark.
