No, because it's up to the couple to decide what's right. If they make the wrong choice, so be it.

I can't ask this kind of question?
Nobody said you couldn't. It's a tradition and people break traditions because it's their life and they can do as they wish.

If it is unprotected and done with more than one person, yes, it should. Unprotected sex with various people will only further spread STDs among the population, whereas sex only in marriage or in a serious monogamous relationship would limit any transmission of STDs between only the two--provided they did not have any extra-marital/relationship sexua1 affairs. If people want to have premarital sex with a lot of people and use protection, then I guess I would not look down upon them. It is better than them having it unprotected--people need to keep in mind though that condoms can break and people can forget to take their birth-control pills.

No. Sex is part of a healthy relationship.
Others say that it destroys relationships without a foundation.
No, he's entirely right.

An entirely emotional relationship without any physical element is not healthy.

An entirely physical relationship without any emotional element is not healthy.

You need both for a good relationship.

This is the 21'st century If 2 people decide to share in a consensual -blam!- relationship who are any of us to judge them. You don't need a piece of paper to know your compatible with someone. Nor do you need said piece of paper for a better relationship.

It means have all the sex you want, but if you two don't actually CARE about each other, it's not a healthy relationship and you're just using each other for sex.

That depends on a lot of things. Like the people involved, their beliefs, and the stage of their relationship.

Marriage is far less likely to end in divorce if you don't have sex before hand.

Make of that what you will.

^ This guy knows what's up. I believe that people should wait until they're married. But also, too many people rush into marriages that they regret and the divorce rate is pretty depressing.

  • 11.26.2012 4:13 PM PDT

Nope, unsafe sex with someone you don't care for? Sure, look down on it. Sex with someone you care for before marriage? Nothing wrong with that. Hell, I'm ok with safe sex with complete strangers.

True a relationship should not be dictated by paper nor should people not be judged for their actions by other people but is it something bad, that is the question.

Provided both partners are of legal age, are in mutual consent, using protection, and they love each other, I don't see a problem.

I care little for the petty, arbitrarily determined positions on sex many people in society exhibit on topics regarding it, orientation, and when a person decides to have it. If a person is responsible and is aware of the risks, they'll take proper precaution, and I see absolutely no logical reason to deny any person the opportunity to have sex with somebody they're attracted to.

Personally, I wouldn't advocate going about having sex with every woman you get your hands on, but having sex with multiple people throughout your life is in no way a moral crime, nor should it be considered one.

Yup.

Unfortunately we live in a very anti-Christian society (inb4madlibs, I don't believe in religion) where traditional highly effective functioning traditions are replaced with something very different. There's not really much that can be done save for converting to Orthodox Judaism or Islam, but these are very bad alternatives which come with their own problems.

During the early years when Christianity started, Christians were persecuted and at times stoned to death.

That's my point. Saying the US is very anti-Christian is an insult to those who were actually persecuted for their religion. The US is FAR from an anti-christian society.

It "should." Sex is "supposed" to be with someone you love.

But no one does. Hell, I even don't. As long as your safe, I don't really give a -blam!-.

I've had quite a few friends with benefits over the years. There was no emotional side of the relationship. Though because both parties were aware of this before hand I see nothing wrong with using each other for pleasure.

Though more to the thread in general, I find the people that do look down on others for their bedroom habits to be rather funny. Why do you even care what other people do in the bedroom? Why is that reason to look down on someone?

It is none of your business. If someone wants to have premarital sex you shouldn't be denied of that, it is just stupid.
