Subject: Does Anyone Really Care About Their K/D Ratio ?

I spent 90% of my money on women and drink. The rest I wasted.

Ní thagann ciall roimh aois.

Gach rud mo creideamh ea etfilu Dia.

I like having a low k/d because it takes the dicks who make fun of me by surprise when I top the leaderboards with a 3.5 k/d spread.

You look around. You fire your weapon before you realize.
Its just me. I fall and you walk up. You cry why.
When i pop up. You look at me in wonder. I say,"ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL."
You bend to my will and go to a cliff, walk off, and fall.
The last thing you hear is me stating as fact,"All will fail the battle of life, you just went early"

I don't really care about it. I judge my skill by how good I do in a game, regardless of what happens. I could play great and have a terrible k/d and lose the game. Besides, I don't care if someone thinks to insult me using their k/d. It just makes them look like fools.

The Risk Is Worth The Reward.
Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War.

Meh yes and no, mine in H4 now is like a 1.64 or something I think. I check it here and there just to see if I'm getting better or worse.

Vegans never die they just regrow.

I'm way to old to take it serious. I enjoy the game as it is, when I do good it's good, when I suck well that's okay too.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

Always cared more about winning since Reach.

TRU7H. CARNAGE. BUNGIE

Actually I do. It's not the most important part but as a selfish bastard, I love to think I'm a bit better than someone else.

心の中に弱い風が吹いています。

Not for Halo 4.

Favorite Quote by an Anonymous YouTuber:
"I hate when people compare Ozzy to God, I mean, he's great, but he's not Ozzy..."

I don't make it, like, an absolute priority in my life or anything like that, if that's what you mean (don't have the time for that anymore).

Even though I know it's not the most important thing, it still feels nice to know that amongst your peers, your K/D ratio stands taller than theirs (like mine ;D).

Somewhat yeah. Makes for good -blam!- talk.

You're either first or you're last.

You'll never amount to anything, go back under your bridge.

Not really. I just don't enjoy playing a game as much when I'm dying more than I'm killing. I usually play with my derpy friends so w/l ratio is shot to hell.

  • 11.27.2012 7:22 AM PDT

Nope, I do not care. I leveled high and got plenty kills in Reach but got plenty of deaths as well. I was reckless and had fun. Running into the enemy base knowing I'd die just to try and get the flag outside of the base. Or let my team fill me up with plasma grenades and I'd run in and instantly explode killing everyone inside.

...

Good Times :)

If you got a low k/d you are bad.
If you got a low k/d and say k/d doesn't matter then you are bad and delusional.
If you got a high k/d you are a no life.
If you got a high k/d and say k/d doesn't matter you are arrogant.
The "competitive" community in a nutshell.

And so God called Moses to come forth but he came fifth and was therefore disqualified.

People with bad K/Ds say they don't matter. That's how it has always been.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

You mean k/d ratio or just k/d. K/D spread is the mathematical difference between you number of kills and number of deaths (K minus D equals Spread).

I'm going to invade your heart like a barn swallow high on milk chocolate and grandma love.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

Ever since a few days ago I haven't cared. I tried using the Carbine. I drove a Warthog around with no gunner. I tried to splatter with a Mongoose.

Depends on my mood!

  • 11.27.2012 8:38 AM PDT

I use to a long time ago, but I quit caring about it.

  • 11.27.2012 8:41 AM PDT

When I play Battlefield 3 I play conquest and when I loose I throw a -blam!- fit so I usually end up winning. My W/L is 2.24 and my k/d is 1.67. I'll die for the objective over and over again until I get it. Especially in rush. I for some reason though also focus a lot on my score per minute in BF3, because when it gets really high, you know you're contributing to your team because your doing many different things in short amounts of time.

  • 11.27.2012 8:45 AM PDT

Yes. It tells you how bad or stupid someone is.

Don't LOL if you aren't L'inOL.

Halo: Reach
Halo 3
Halo ODST

I try to say I don't, but I do really. And it sucks.

Having a K/D over 1 helps me establish that I kill more than I die. Makes me feel less useless.

The strongest Rivals are also the strongest allies.

i care more about win/loss.

I absolutely care about my kill to death ratio. Right now in Planetside 2, my kill to death ratio is crap, because I'm a FNG and I don't understand how the game works entirely yet and I'm still learning things like "Oh, if you're sniping, you can hit shift to steady your aim for the shot!" and very obvious things like that which will do wonders for my abillity to kill without being killed.

It's not an issue of bragging rights, it's a way of tracking my personal progress as a player. Planetside 2 is a super fun game, and one that I wouldn't mind mastering.
