Subject: Every Halo 4 map feels like Construct from H3

I swear there's so much verticallity, the radar has red dots at all times, and still I can't see anyone because they are either below me, above me, or two floors below me.

Do you guys find Halo 4's radar more or less confusing that previous Halos?

Multi-trillionaire modern cowboy.

That's right.

I like vertical combat, though the maps are a bit silly.

"There's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I'd like to think that I walk that line every day."

No, I'm pretty good with my radar. Like in Reach, I can always distinguish between those above, below, or level with me.

Don't insult Construct like that.

I'd love if they had Construct in Halo 4.

The radar in Construct was wack.

Who's got AIDS?

You guys actually got into games that weren't on Haven, Ragnarok, and Exile?

Can someone explain to me how to read enemy targets on the motion sensor? How do I know when they are above or below me? I know that the red dot changes to an arrow-like icon if they are below or above you. Is there a way to tell above from below like in Reach?

I find the Radar fine, keep an eye on the arrows. Downwards arrow means below, upwards means above.

People seem to LOVE Complex over here. The whole game becomes a pop-your-head and shoot across the map, then take cover game.

Thanks. Didn't know that there were two different arrows.

Pretty much happens in all of H4, especially BTB.

The reason why I vote Haven all the time is it is the only map that doesn't become a campfest behind rocks the entire game.

Unless you're splaying SWAT and everyone hides behind the ramps.

Are you saying Construct is as bad as every Halo 4 map? How could you say that. Halo 4 maps are a whole new tier of bad.

Don't let fear of rejection stop you from going after what you want

Haven feels like Narrows imo.

"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for."

I WISH the maps had design as good as Construct. MLG Construct was a great map. I hate every Halo 4 map (with the exception of Haven; that one isn't bad).

Somewhat OT: Something weird I noticed immediately about the motion sensor is that I'm pretty sure its default range was extended to 40 meters. In game, I feel like I see people on the motion sensor way before I should be able to.

I even went into a custom game and set it back to 25 meters, and it seemed a lot more natural.

That's because the whole map is a bunch of broken lines of sight. You either: A) Rush out to your enemies or B) Wait for your enemies to come to you. You can't cross-map or even get a decent shoot-out on Haven because the lines of sight are so bad.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Construct was an amazing map. Don't insult it like that.
@Mass Craziness: I've been saying that since I first saw Halo 4 gameplay on Haven.

I like Complex because it's the only Team Slayer map with vehicles.

I know. I only find Haven my favorite because it's a little more playable than the others for some reason. I don't like Complex because spawning in the middle of scenic nowhere and being prone to getting shot at because you spawned out in the open is bad. Abandon is rushing the center. Adrift is good for CTF, but in Slayer it's pretty broken up in terms of sight as well (I like it, though). Solace has similar problems to Complex, but not the same. You get lines of sight, but them trying to break it up fails miserably. The bottom of the map is never used, it's a shoot-out at the top, and the spawns don't really work that well.

Now, as for BTB, I'll say a little. Exile's not balanced (Gauss Hog vs. Tank isn't really fair). Ragnarok is good but overplayed. Vortex is bad because it's really open and a huge fight for that middle room. One map got Manti that spawn every thirty seconds, so it's been a little downgraded (I still kind of like it, though. It's pretty good).

Maroon 5 is awesome. Deal with it.

Radar is pretty straight forward. If the enemy is elevated, they have an arrow indicating up. Then the same if they're down.

Haven feels like Snowbound in the sense that everyone votes it in
