I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Oh, he means in terms of "soft power." Dang, now all America has left is the best military... for now.

Coca Cola.

If that doesn't establish a foothold into nearly every life on the planet, I defy you to find me something else that does better.

This kind of explains why Batman, Spiderman, and Superman are all played by British actors.

Softpower > Hard power.

People like culture more than military.

>Implying America doesn't have culture.

Don't think just because the idiots you see on TV and read about online mean we are not cultural.

Also, as far as Culture Vs. Military, have fun drinking tea. I'll be over here being a badass American. Plus, their's a reason why all your stars and singers run away fr-COME OVER HERE. ;)

I still maintain that we have the best scientists and engineers on the planet.

Who discovered graphene? A brit. Who made the earliest computers to aid in the war effort? A brit. Who invented the World Wide Web? Brit.

The kit kat?

Hardly.

The logo, the shape of the bottle, the fact that nearly any human capable of speech knows what it is, and if one is being offered, would more than likely accept?

That's impressive. At least to me. But everyone is willing to postulate their own. I think that my suggestion has at least some merit.

Now let's get down to business, I don't got no time to play around, what is this?

Pretty much all our TV is bad, most of our musicians are bad, our food is okay, our clothes are pretty cool and most of our culture is alright. In my opinion we're not really that great any more, not like the good ol' days.

Yup.

This is wrong. America and China have more power economically than Britain does, as well as military.

A Brit may have developed the WWW, but America created the actual Internet. ARPA (US government) created the ARPANET, the original precursor.

They go over to America for more money thats the only reason mate, also im not saying you have no culture just people only ever see your military.

People don't like it and how its used, European nations like the UK have more culture than America does simply because of their history. The USA's is a mixture of everybody's plus its own unique style.

If the longevity of a culture is a sign of its power, than Europe needs to step back for the Persians, Indians and Chinese.

Power, especially when meticulously defined in a way intended to demonstrate or reassure that "we're #1" is not power, it's attempting to soothe self-confidence issues.

I'd argue Manchester United or The Monarchy would give the Coke Brand a run for its money in terms of Global awareness.
