As far as i recall America doesn't have many natural resource left that aren't untapped unlike Russia with it's oil reserves. It will be interesting to see who is truly the strongest power once the oil runs out.

Gamertag - Rdog 11

Call me Rdog, not RdOG or RdOG1507. I made that username when I thought it was cool to use alternating capital and lowercase letters...

I would say this thread is pretty much about politics...

I'd say China or America have the best millitary.

And our "Great" British econemy is kind balls.
Also, British politics is so corrupt. I can't stand it

Yes global economies are majorly intertwinned hence the massive bailout of the failed economies of greece and italy hence why im stating that America needs to be careful as the leading economy, even if it's in debt, because if anything stupid was to be done(such as japan wanting cash) it could potentially collapse the world economy, stock market and the resulting fallout would ensure that natural resources would be more important than anything. Leading to war over resources which could potentially cripple the planet.
I'm going to try to avoid politics in general.
The way current economies are intertwinned results in increasingly poor countries not being able to get richer, and the richest countries being responsible for other economies. It's a system which in the rapid increasing modern ages could prove fatal to the balance of power.

We actually have a crapload of resources. While I disagree with the process due to how it contaminates the water supply easily, fracking works. We also have access to off-shore oil as well, but this also can have an extremely detrimental effect on the environment to the point where you actually should look at the cause and effects. Not to mention there's the insane amount of coal we're sitting on for electricity.

But of course, all this stuff just leaves you scratching your head wondering if it's really worth it. But we can always build more nuclear reactors. Or hey, if they finally manage to split that hydrogen atom with a laser...

I enjoy halo for it's story and when I am in the mood, its gameplay. Reach was significantly worse then I expected but was still a great game (minus the european hitscan fiasco). I am sitting on a two mile wide fence on the subject of halo 4. Most of the things I like a technical aspects though and not story or game play. Plus I am slightly mad they took my elites from MP.

I have a puzzle for you Americans

We here in Britain have a massive super market chain called ASDA but it is in-fact the renaming, re-branding and re-prioritising of a well known american company, can you guess which one?

It appears we are slowly diverging to politics so i'd just like to avoid that discussion.

Fair enough, i haven't a great deal of depth in americas natural resouces. If i recall oil is estimated to last only 50 more years before it runs out. If we haven't cracked hydrogen by then we may have some problems.

Although i know for a fact that britain will defintely lose it's status as a powerful nation in the not too distant future. Having decided to shut down a large sum of our power stations it's estimated that in at max a decade we won't have enough power for everyone.
Looks like us Brits are going back to the stone age.

And with that I will no longer participate in this topic. Let it rest now.

Fact is without the USA , England would be ruled by Germany. We gave you a navy and tanks and also a huge force of aircraft.

Fact is without England the USA technically wouldn't exist.
Also that USA was the main reason why the war started anyway.

They would all be speaking Spanish or French if it were not for us. But this thread is very pointless and needs to die down.

America has a lot of untapped resources, especially oil (like the 2 trillion barrels of oil in one shale deposit). We're purposefully saving our oil so that we can keep going once the rest of the world goes dry.

So, one British actor in Homeland + Downton Abbey influencing his friends to hire butlers means that the British media industry is dominating Hollywood and TV?

Some of the singers/bands

many of our cultural dishes

are some the best

is amongst the best

As some would say

is one of the greatest

People will buy British products despite the larger price tag of equal goods due to quality, our history is 2nd to non and our military is one of the greatest in the world.
Equal goods aren't equal quality, and your history is the reason America exists. Just sayin'.

This kind of explains why Batman, Spiderman, and Superman are all played by British actors.

Don't forget Rick Grimes.
