Subject: McDonalds McGriddle

ME2 was known for stupidity and being retarded

The McGriddle is alarmingly addictive for fast food breakfast. That combined with a tasty hash brown makes me pretty satisfied while on the road in the morning.

Paninis.

Panini is already plural. Panino is the singular.

Thus, saying paninis is like saying potatoeses.

McGriddles are the nastiest junk I have ever eaten. I much prefer the egg/bacon/cheese bagels.

Curse you.
You cannot deny the supremacy that is the number 12.

Yeah OP stop eating it. If you need to see the horrors of McDonald's watch Supersized me, a guy starts eating McDonald's regularly and his liver begins dieing on him.

I already watched it.

That was kind of odd. I think he only ate it for a month or two and they basically told him he could have died. Yet he wasn't necessarily fat (as in obese) and there are people who I'm sure have been living off that stuff for years.

Yeah, Supersize Me isn't real. Some teacher actually did it and proved that you wouldn't get endangering health risks from it.

I guess he had low immunity to the poisons in the food. No, I'm not exaggerating the same thing happens with the ethanol in alcohol (also a poison), your liver gets better over time at flushing it out.

  • 11.27.2012 10:59 AM PDT

That may explain why I'm so addicted to it. But there's still a few things I'd like to know.

Why is it changing my mood? I get hungry faster and crave McDonalds 24/7. Is it the sugar? ingredients?

Actually, it is. Remember he ate McDonald's for every meal of the day and his liver wasn't adjusted to it. Think about how alcohol works, your liver slowly gets better at removing it, but if you instantly start drinking it all the time youre a gonna.

Well of course it is. Stop eating it right now, and see a doctor.

Carbs and sugar spike your insulin. Insulin is nicknamed the hunger hormone. This is because of fluctuations in your blood sugar caused by insulin.

That is why when you eat a steak, you feel full and sated for hours, but if you eat a bowl of spaghetti, you feel hungry later.

This is also why low carb/low sugar diets work.

Two movies you should watch: Fight Club and Pineapple Express

"Wait. What do you mean, it's dead?"
"If marijuana is not legal within the next five years I have no faith left in humanity, period. Everyone likes smoking weed. They have for thousands of years. They're not going to stop anytime soon. You know? It makes everything better. Makes food taste better, makes music better. It makes sex feel better for God's sake. It makes -blam!- movies better you know?"

Yeah McDonalds doesn't really have anything healthy for breakfast. At least at lunch you have the option of grilled chicken or something.

Switch to the regular McMuffin. Ham is healthier than sausage. Then switch to their oatmeals which is an even healthier breakfast and it still tastes good, IMO. Gradually wean (sp?) yourself off of the McGriddle. When you try to go back to it, it'll taste too sweet and you won't like it. I had this exact problem. If you're unwilling to make the leap, at least ask them to substitute the sausage for the ham.

I read somewhere that the oatmeal is actually loaded with tons of sugar. So it doesn't end up being that healthy even though it's probably healthier than whatever else they have.

Oh come on now.

What's next? Fake tomatoes and bread?

I believe you but one of their newer flavors, the one with blueberries seems like the healthiest of the bunch. It doesn't taste sugary like the others. It's still better than the McGriddle, that's for sure.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

OP, McD's and "amazing" do not belong in the same sentence together.

Also, Biscuit masturace.

Tomatoes don't have carbs.

If you want to eat healthily - meats, fruits, and vegetables. Emphasis on meat for protein.

Eggs and bacon are fine for breakfast - just skip the toast.

As some of you may know (or none), I work in Canada, Ontario, Mississauga with Peel Regional Police as a Police Officer. My shifts are usually early morning shifts starting at 5AM. Sometimes I do night-shifts ending in the morning.

I usually don't have time to make myself a proper breakfast. (My sleep schedule is -blam!-ucked!)

So I hit up my local McDonalds on the job, grab a Large coffee 2 cream, 2 sugar and one McGriddle every morning.

The taste is so addicting and the coffee is simply amazing but I feel like it's been draining my strength away and sort of changing my "hunger-habit" if you will.

I'm craving McDonalds almost every second of the day. I get hungry very easily and very quickly.

I always tell myself that I'll overcome this but it just doesn't happen. I always end up pulling in the drive-thru excited to get my McDonalds breakfast... only to feel guilty about it after.
It's something in the Pancake-muffin thing. The other ingredients are fine by them selves, but one can get addicted to eating those muffincake things alone.

No, they don't have an official name besides "McGriddle buns." Everyone at my work calls them something different (and I work at a McD).

I'm physically fit and those kinds of goods used to be my meals but because of the job, I barely have time to make myself a decent breakfast.

I should resign.
