I'm physically fit and those kinds of goods used to be my meals but because of the job, I barely have time to make myself a decent breakfast.

I should resign.

I feel bro.

Most good foods can be difficult to prepare quickly or in advance.

Waking up super early is a -blam!-itch too and I don't have the time. Seriously. I run on 3-5 hours of sleep in between shifts.

Oh come on now.

What's next? Fake tomatoes and bread?

Tomatoes don't have carbs.

If you want to eat healthily - meats, fruits, and vegetables. Emphasis on meat for protein.

Eggs and bacon are fine for breakfast - just skip the toast.
So. Why are Carbs bad? did you actually read the Atkins diet study on WHY carbs are bad (Here's a hint, they aren't. In the original paper it said nothing about giving up carbs completely) or are you just echoing the common opinion on them from the atkins craze?

Because carbs are only bad if you follow the nutritional pyramid to a T. (Basically the theory behind a low carb diet was that if you are following the nutritional pyramid, 6-11 sources of carbohydrates are too many if you are also getting the proper amount of Fruits, Vegetables, Dairy and Protein. The body can't use that much energy on a daily basis so it stores it in fat. a Low carb diet just limits your carb intake to 4-8 sources a day. Again, unless you follow the food pyramid, cutting carbs from your diet does very little for your health.)

Another idea is maybe going somewhere else like Subway for breakfast. Or try this: Fill a travel mug up with your fav cereal or oatmeal and just buy coffee from McDonalds. It takes like a minute to prep so it shouldn't be that bad. For your night shift, just take a yogurt or something light for breakfast.

As some of you may know (or none), I work in Canada, Ontario, Mississauga with Peel Regional Police as a Police Officer. My shifts are usually early morning shifts starting at 5AM. Sometimes I do night-shifts ending in the morning.

I usually don't have time to make myself a proper breakfast. (My sleep schedule is -blam!-ucked!)

So I hit up my local McDonalds on the job, grab a Large coffee 2 cream, 2 sugar and one McGriddle every morning.

The taste is so addicting and the coffee is simply amazing but I feel like it's been draining my strength away and sort of changing my "hunger-habit" if you will.

I'm craving McDonalds almost every second of the day. I get hungry very easily and very quickly.

I always tell myself that I'll overcome this but it just doesn't happen. I always end up pulling in the drive-thru excited to get my McDonalds breakfast... only to feel guilty about it after.
It's something in the Pancake-muffin thing. The other ingredients are fine by them selves, but one can get addicted to eating those muffincake things alone.

No, they don't have an official name besides "McGriddle buns." Everyone at my work calls them something different (and I work at a McD).

Tell me, is it good or bad?
Working at McD? Being paid minimum wage, barely getting Helath benefits, having a thankless job that needs to be done a specific way all the time with no changes (meat must be placed on the grill in a certain order. front to back, right to left and then salted after cooking in the same order.) while barely struggling for hours to work? No, it's a blast. /sarcasm.

Then again, that might just be my location. Several people seem to enjoy working at McD. We call these people "Not working on Grill or Fries at busy times".

Watch out. If I post in your thread, chances are it'll die. I've been cursed, and if I kill your thread, I'm sorry.

Get a sausage biscuit instead. You get a buttered biscuit and sausage. You still get your meat and bread, but you don't get the egg (never really liked the eggs). They don't have the effect you are describing.

It's alright. I don't personally eat it, but that's because I'm around it all day.

That's nice and all, but that's a totally different market. We're talking about 1-2 minute fast food Timmies, McD's in Mississauga/Brampton.
