...during the holiday season?

Now that I no longer do the Charity work with Boy Scouts, I would like to volunteer my time at another, equally as good charity.

Does anyone have any suggestions, from experience, in which nation- wide groups would be the best to volunteer at?

Butter my ass, turn around, spread open my butt cheeks, and say "Right here mutha-blam!-a!!"

I've donated time to charity, not money though.
But some say that time is money.

Well, I've been economical with the truth.

I gave blood few weeks back, does that count?

soup-kitchens, salvation army, or you could probably just do a google search for: "your city name" community service

edit: another good place to help out at is assisted/senior living homes, they are always glad to get volunteers.

Yep.

I donate to something called Cafod. Only 1% of all donations go to the people running it. Which is fantastic. Almost I worked full time for a charity on my gap year. Got very little pay, but it was defiantly worth it.
