For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

I have a hard time hating anybody. The hippies that protest our soldiers (who fight and die for their right to protest) are an embarrassment to themselves and the country. The hippies that pull wild conspiracy theories and things of the sort out of their rear end are extremely annoying and embarrassing. The hippies that just sit there stoned and want everyone to shut up and get along don't bother me.

I have been called a hippie numerous times here. Funny how people seem to think it's an insult.
Lol, same here. Kinda the reason why I made this thread.

Except the only US soliders that have died in the past 70 years or so weren't defending their country. They died furthering US interests

They die so another terrorist attack doesn't happen in America. Go screw yourself if you are disrespecting their deaths.

The only war that did that was with Iraq. Every other war since WWII has been justified.

Seems that here you basically either love war and suffering or you must be a hippie.

I really hope you're joking. Soldiers don't prevent terrorist attacks, tighter security does. And criticizing our government's foreign policy disrespects no one.

Doesn't matter how tight your security is. We are killing there leaders so they are constantly on the move and can't focus on terrorizing us.

The best way to justify horrible acts is to claim that more horrible ones would occur should you stop.

You got some growing up to do, kid.

If you sincerely think the three wars we've had in the middle east is about fighting terrorism, I recommend you actually do some research.

The Korean and Vietnam war was to stop the spread of Communism. Look at what Communism has done to Russia. Sure they lived better than what they did off the Czars, but as of now, they're still very far behind, that's why we tried to stop it in Korea and Vietnam. The Gulf War was a response to Iraq invading another country, how does defending some small defenseless country further U.S. interest besides protecting the little man?

You know what soldiers died for me? Those who fought in WWII. Those who are sent out by our corrupt politicians to kill arabs in order to justify their insane ideologies do nothing to defend or benefit me.

I hate when people assume that any war protests are protests against soldiers. I highly respect soldiers; they're heroes, in my opinion. I highly disrespect the rich old men who send those heroes to die.

I'd also like to point out that Iraq was offering to sell oil at 5$ a barrel to the US if they didn't intervene in the Gulf.

The job of US service men and women is simply to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. That's their oath. How the politicians use them is not up to them. They sign a contract and are expected to do as they're told. They don't pick or start the wars. They just fight them, so the rest of us don't have to. Defending US interests is still defending the US.

They weren't our business. We have no right acting as the world's police force unless some serious -blam!- is going down. We had every right to enter World War II; Hitler was a murderous psychopath. Khruschev, Gorbachev, not so much. And the Gulf War should have been left up to the UN.
