I really don't know how to respond to warmongerer magee over there

Apparently he think we'll have a better world by killing everyone we don't like

1. The desire leads to the action.
2. He isn't the only one plotting against the U.S.. You're crazy if you think all the terrorist cells in the region just disappeared after we killed him.
3. That's like blaming the U.S. for WWII cause WWI was a cause of it.

1. A desire and an action are two different things.
2. We don't need to have military bases across the entire swath of the middle east to find one man.
3. The Gulf War led to the Iraq War.
1. Not if the desire isn't strong enough. We can still use diplomacy with Iran.
2. Oh, malarkey. That's just a bull-blam!- reason for us to stay in the middle east and suck up more oil.
3. You're missing my point. I'm saying that we had ulterior motives with the Gulf War. We wanted a foothold in the middle east, so we could eventually take over Iraq and get richer from oil profits.

No, that's horrible logic. We want to minimize the amount of U.S. Military and civilian casualties, not throw them away to get rid of a country.

We want to minimize the amount of warmongering we do. Attacking a country when diplomacy is still on the table is wrong.

  • 11.27.2012 2:27 PM PDT

Hurr

Never seen one, but I doubt they would piss me off.

  • 11.27.2012 2:29 PM PDT

1. They're not going to be diplomatic with us, their fanatics.
2. This is the final nail in the coffin that shows you don't know what you're talking about. Afghanistan has nothing to offer us in Oil.
3. So that must mean the UN is just as corrupt since they offered assistance for a small defenseless country.

You don't know what you're talking about, and you're ultimately wasting my time. Goodbye.

1. No, they're not. Ironically enough, this is the same reason we weren't allowed to negotiate with the Russians in the 60's. Except it was "Communist" instead of "fanatic".
2. Yes, they do. The amount of actual terrorism in the middle east compared to the amount that the government wants us to think there is is hilarious.
3. No, they had honorable intentions. It's not just our actions that matter. It's the motives behind those actions.

The feeling is mutual.

I think it's funny that people "hate" people who stand for peace. Is peace such a bad thing?

Reach for the stars

They haven't done anything "bad". They just see life in a whole different perspective. So, no.

Omg, you live in Asheville?

That's crazy.

We're gonna fight, me and you. We know who's really right about this conversation. If you don't then let's think this through, with out fists. If that doesn't suit you, we can use pistols. How does this prove who's right?

Well, we both know I'll win, that's a damn fact.

The less efficient something is, the less I "like" it, on top of everything else. I don't "hate" them, I just dislike them.

Personally I don't hate them because they preach peace I hate them because they put love over the progress of humanity.

See the liberal arts thread.

Do they? From their perspective, other people are the ones stopping human progress.

Oh, and you'd be a fool to think humanity doesn't need "liberal arts" or humanities to progress, just like any other field of study.

Connor Morris

They're always protesting something, getting high, wearing their peace shirts.

There's this one on the corner who calls me a "government spooning slob" because I wouldn't give him my 5 bucks one day

I don't think it is useless. I think that other fields are more important.

Regardless, how on Earth could you argue that "hippies" get in the way of "human progress?"

Most things need to be protested. What's wrong with getting high? What's wrong with peace shirts?

Because one person represents a group of people as a whole...right.

To be fair, I didn't see the Viet-Cong threatening us on American soil...We were the ones who went over there and interfered because we were xenophobic of Marxism at the time. All the Vietnam war did was waste our tax-dollars to satisfy the government's xenophobia of Marxism.

I did not say that. I said I dislike them because they believe love is more important than progressing humanity as a whole through science and other fields.
