So its cold out, and as a result..I don't take my dog out much..Maybe an hour or two a day in total time.

The rest of the time she just lays around..While I'm busy doing this or that.

Anything I can do to increase her entertainment? I live in an Apartment so no I can't just tie her outside.

I do have a 50 ft training leash and every now and then I use that and play fetch with her.

I have two cats too, and a harness for them.

+1 for you good sir.

Sometimes, but only when I get mad at my puppy for making stew in the kitchen. Other than that, not really. I am always by my dogs side, and if my dog really didn't want to go outside, he wouldn't go. Not only that, but I got a lazy breed, so all he does is sleep for most of the day.

My dog has me living in a constant state of guilt. But then I remind myself she is loved, fed, and warm, and that is a hell of a lot more then can be said for 90% of the dogs in this world...and that helps.

Im the same way with my dog. He's 9 now, so he has kinda slowed down. He usually takes his tennis ball to the front door after the 2nd or 3rd fetch now. Its convenient because we're both in more of a chill mood these days.

Dear Floodians:

A Girl thread a day keeps the ladies at bay and gets us banned, the lonely single way.

My dog is turning thirteen soon and though he's becoming quite old, he's still my best friend in the world. I love my dog.

At times I wonder how I'd react when I find him dead/dying in his basket, I think I'd cry.

I feel like a bad bird owner sometimes.

Animals tend to get lazy around the winter time as well. I'm sure your dog doesn't mind sleeping all day.

Not to be dark but ur dog may die in two or three years so u hav enough time to play with him/her for the last couple of times.

I knew a dog that was over eighteen. One day, after having not attempted to run away for years she decided to just walk out their front gate and never returned.
We think that she knew she had reached her time and went away to die. Poor thing couldn't run anymore (without looking hilarious) but still moved well enough not to be put down.
