I have a bit of resentment for college, having failed it and the fact they will tell you things like Liberal arts is a good field just so they an make a quick buck.

I know people going to OSU and such..All they ever do is work, work, and work. Throwing those younger years away.

I know they'll be "free of college" eventually..But I wonder..Is it worth it in the end?

Whether it's worth it or not depends on what you study and what you like.

High end colleges
OSU

What.

Welp, If being "poor" taught me one thing its that you are more appreciative of things rather then a whiney -blam!-.

I'm not poverty tier, but still.

I'm gunning to be a vet assistant, 13$ an hour starting. Seems okay to me.

State College for the win. I am getting a good education, for a low price.

I went to one..I like the feel of college in all..But I don't like the price, or the lies.

Any PM's (about my armor) sent over Bungie.net or Friend Requests (for my armor) over Live will be unanswered/declined. Sorry! All you need to know is that I was given my armor because I fulfilled one of the secret requirements for Bungie Day 09. I am a pre-owner of Recon!

Depends on how you come out. If you're happy with your degree, good on you. And it only helps your career options by attending a prestigious school.

You can still have fun in college/university. You're definitely not wasting your "younger" years. Heck, you come out at 22 years old and you still have what, like, 20 more years (varying of course) before your age starts to catch up with you.

I have three friends that attend OSU. I see pictures of two of them partying nonstop on Facebook.

Off topic but I'm planning on attending the school next fall.

I don't know man, I just seem to hold some kind of resentment twoards the whole subject.

I seriously doubt it was because I failed it..I think it has something to do with people making the job industry sound horribly depressing.

Though I must say my old job at the pet store was fun.

This makes me feel more resentment.

Maybe I'm just mad because I got shot down out of college in a very bad fashion..Not sure.

Just to be clear - are we talking about Ohio State University, or Oklahoma State University?

I thought he was talking about Oregon State...

Excuse me if its not exactly what you'd call 'high tier'.

I'm not pointing at you or anyone specific but I think the problem is that there's a HUGE misconception about college these days. That everyone needs to attend it. Sure, it helps. But not everyone (again, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone) is cut out for it, be it mentally or emotionally. Some people are happy just avoiding it and ending up wherever they choose.

I apologize if I'm straying and/or missed your point :O

I think you hit the nail right on the head with that one.

I desire a decent house, one to call my own...I'm not sure how to go about getting one, but I do.

And people putting so much emphasis on college being necessary does agitate me to no end..As it discourages me heavily.

Humm..Seems I may of figured out my resentment issue with college goers..Thank you.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

I go to a high end college and I spend plenty of time on extra-curriculars.
