Subject: Friend said multiplayer is more important than single player in games.

I don't agree with him at all.

Think you can take me in NHL12? Send me a message/invite

I play campaigns once. I play multiplayer multiple times.

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

I guess you can't be friends any more.

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

Nowadays they are to some.

Vien (Sven) 'Quitonm
Species - Sangheili
Age - 19
Weight - 250lbs
Height - 6'6"
Eye Colour - Grey

It depends on the game.

The earlier battlefields were made for multiplayer.

I be trippin'.

Depends on the game. In most FPS, I would agree with that statement. Action-adventure or RPGs are obviously single-player heavy.

Gamertag - Rdog 11

Call me Rdog, not RdOG or RdOG1507. I made that username when I thought it was cool to use alternating capital and lowercase letters...

Multiplayer is mainly what sells the games. Games are popular because of their multiplayer (with the exception of a few RPGs).

Numba one Italian on da flud.

It's fifty-fifty.
I wouldn't buy a game just for its campaign, but I wouldn't buy a game just for its multiplayer.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

Seems like most games with a multiplayer aspect have crappy naratives that are very short. Sadly your friend is like most of the online community and that is one of the reasons they crank out a new COD every 6 months.

Depends entirely on the game. I sure as hell didn't buy Battlefield 3 with the campaign in mind. I didn't even finish half of it.

I've been playing Halo since 2002. My earliest memories include hiding at the shotgun window on Damnation and killing my dad with grenades while playing co-op on Pillar of Autumn.

That's cool.

You should try posting this on Blogger next time.

If the game is multiplayer-oriented (CoD, Battlefield, some might argue Halo) of course it is

Neither do I. Campaigns are the most important. Multiplayer is just filler till one plays the next campaign of the next game.

CamCamm: How does that work?

The who wishes, fervently wishes

Obviously games like battlefield, COD, and now more or less Halo might as well not ship with a campaign. They're growing more or less meaningless. But for something like Crysis, the campaign is much more meaningful to the game. Campaigns used to be really good, but overall they're becoming just more mehish and unnecessary.

Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

I like to think of that statement as true and false. Though single-player in most games can make or break the fanbase, it's the multiplayer that gives it longevity, and continued use 6+ months down the line. I mean, sure you can replay single player, but it's difficult to maintain enjoyment after playing it every day for that long.
