I don't need no stinking signature!

Are you -blam!- kidding me?

At least the article goes on to explain how she isn't a real credible scientist, but i still don't like the way it's written. It's sensationalist and does noting but give people reasons not to trust science, since most people don't bother to look at the evidence themselves.

Without The Flood, I wouldn't know what an opinion is.

I stopped at "Yahoo News".

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

...

So does this mean we can track Bigfoot now?

With like, science-scanners or something?

  • 11.27.2012 3:10 PM PDT

@Vinyl_Hb

Her name is Ketchum?

My god...

Bigfoot is a pokemon.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalms 46:1-3

Hold the phone...And I quote...

Ketchum writes that her team's research indicates the "North American Sasquatch" is a hybrid of a female -blam!- sapien and a male of "unknown hominin species," whose DNA matched approximately 15,000 years ago.

So, Let me get this straight, some chick got down with a monkey?

Two movies you should watch: Fight Club and Pineapple Express

"Wait. What do you mean, it's dead?"
"If marijuana is not legal within the next five years I have no faith left in humanity, period. Everyone likes smoking weed. They have for thousands of years. They're not going to stop anytime soon. You know? It makes everything better. Makes food taste better, makes music better. It makes sex feel better for God's sake. It makes -blam!- movies better you know?"

Good thing they don't trust her otherwise Bigfoot would have to start assassinating people out of his habitat.

No, more like another human-like species such as Neanderthal.

Fairly sure the article is BS anyway so not like it matters.

What i what to know is, if the species is unknown then how did they match it with a creature from 15,000 years ago?

Well she did also say she got her DNA sample from a bagel so it's probably not worth questioning.

She could tell the age of the DNA, just not what hominid it was from. Or at least that's how it would work if this was real. There was a real Yeti, it was ten feet tall, died out thousands of years ago, and lived on another goddamn continent.

I still find the idea of anyone truthfully believing in Bigfoot laughable at best. There is no fossil record of a large ape in North America save -blam!- Sapiens. That pretty much ends it right there.

Oh, you think darkness is your ally. You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man. By then, it was nothing to me but BLINDING!

Some egghead got us some 'squatch DNA?

her surname is ketchum that should be a clear enough indication that something is wrong.

First, "Neanderthal" is not the proper spelling of the word "Neandertal". The only reason we say Neanderthal is not because its correct which it isn't, but because its the most widely recognized way to say the word. When we grow up hearing, "Neanderthal", we take for granted that the information is correct in a similar manner to children brought up going to church every sunday hold to their faith no matter the evidence against it.

On topic, I don't believe any of that bigfoot jibber jabber. It's a proven hoax that people who took the information for granted still believe just like others who still say Neanderthal. I could tell you I spotted a white rabbit in the woods and chuckle when there's a hunting squad searching for it the next day but when that belief becomes a religion, it gets annoying.

Not to mention that there isn't any fossil record in North America, or South America for that matter, of any large apes besides humans. Not to mention the idea that there could be a yet undiscovered species of hominid with America so greatly explored and developed, and during the age of satellite imaging- is hilarious.

Thanks for telling us about the whole big difference between neanderthal and neandertal. Also way to bash religion for god knows why as an example, good on ya.

Better call up Professor Oak. He'll confirm or deny her claim.
