I'm really a story-driven guy. If a game has a good story, I'll keep playing. The FPS genre has never really had any good story-driven games. Of course there are a few notable exceptions, but for the most part, it's dead.
Developers are spending more and more time on Multiplayer, too right, they should. Multiplayer should be a great experience. But it's taking away from the potential of an amazing Campaign.
Bioshock nailed it. It had no multiplayer to take away from it's great single player experience. It's a reason Bioshock 2 didn't do too well.
I feel some FPS' should take a break from Multiplayer and focus on a great story-driven game. Of course this is being done at the moment, we have Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light to be released. Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite to be released. However I feel they're overshadowed by big titles like Halo, Battlefield etc. Games that, in my opinion, primarily focus on the Multiplayer.
