I am the last of the primes.

Me too... Though IGN said they made it to be less mature than Halo and more accessible to kids. That sort of puts me off.

I agree. Past experience has taught me that 'making it more accessible' and 'appealing to a wider audience' usually means making the game dumb-blam!- easy and zero learning curve.

Not necessarily that, but when you say it's not as mature, it means the story and elements won't get me emotionally involved. I don't want just mindless, brain-numbing gaming akin to Angry Birds or something.

Maybe IGN is wrong or something, but I would love to see the political, religious, cultural, social, ethnic ramifications of an Earth 700 years in the future with only one city left.

Not necessarily asking for much here. And yes, when they say accessible, it usually means dumbing down gameplay and no learning curves. Games these days have too much hand-holding. Soft-kill zones if you venture slightly outside of the linear path, waypoints, tips, tutorials, etc.

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

We still have no full details but I think Bungie wants to wide it's range not to only mature but also for youngsters. I bet they have already planned all this out. Besides it's not like mature games have stopped little kids to play this kind of games.

Looks super Scifi. I love it!

  • 11.27.2012 6:41 PM PDT

STOP CYBER BULLYING ME!

I just hope whatever they plan to do they commit, if it's just going to be a fun social game, don't make it anything else, just go with that.

They also said it would be like star wars in a way. It could be something like the original trilogy which both kids and adults could enjoy the content without being too pandering

That could mean anything from less/no blood and cursing to making it mind numbingly dumb. I'm leaning towards the former.

"What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?"
-Paarthurnax

"The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world."
-G-Man

It gives me a sort of Star Wars/Tribes/Halo feel which I like.

Also, anyone else think of the moon from Majora's Mask when they saw the traveller?

I am never late,Nor am I early; I arrive precisely when I mean to.
Also
"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick -Potatoes!-... and I'm all out of bubblegum."

Trolls = the most ignorant souls on the internet.

For a shooter like this, after Halo, no mature rating, no buy. kids shouldn't have even been on halo at all anyway due to mature rating. Kind of disappointing to see even a glimmer of an idea of no Mature rating for what could be an epic game.

Too many soft people out there that can't handle swearing, or a bit of blood and gore. Shame too really. Halo could have used more Blood and Gore, make a hybrid of Halo epicness, with Mortal Kombat blood and gore and some Expendables swearing, and you got one hell of a package deal there.

Also, if Third Person, it'll also be a no buy as well. Only Third Person game I actually like is Dead Space.

I am a monument to all your sins

I'm kind of worried about the whole younger audience thing. But I'll wait to actually get some real info before taking a stance.

There is a line you must draw between your dream world and reality

I have not been to bungie.net in about 2-3 years, and then lo and behold, a reddit post mentions the screenshot and here I am.

Jesus, this site hasn't change much at all since the Halo 2 days. Wow.

I heard that it would be rated T 16+ somewhere . . . Anyways, the Halo games - especially Reach - were basically that.

Can someone bring me up to speed or direct me to a link that will explain this "exalted mythic member" title?

Also, as a PS3 owner, I'm excited to see this new IP on a different console.

Why are you here?

REALLY looking forward to this.

“We are the Mirratord. We strike with speed and stealth. Our enemies will not see their deaths. They will not know their fate. In darkness, we will see light. In light, we will see darkness. No matter the location, we will see victory. If we fail, no one will know. Like a ghost, our presence is a mystery. For the honor of the mirratord" join the Mirratord

I'm super excited for this game! The art work is absolutely amazing! Looks great!
