Da Husk.

For those of you who don't know what those are, they're basically the morally questionable psychology tricks that devs use to suck you into their games. Take any MMO for example.

Anyway, should these techniques be applied to education to get students addicted to learning?

Discuss.

Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

With small increases in grades like "2.8 percent in math, 5.3 percent in science and 0.5 percent in reading" the schools probably need to do more than just shell out money to kids.

Life is like a clogged toilet. It's full of crap until you do something about it.

I don't speak Karate!

No. These techniques are pedantic and shameless ways to feign better performance out of kids who are unable to compete in school without their attraction to free stuff holding them in place. School is a society where the weak are ruled by the strong, and the smart are scorned by the stupid. The smart are the winners here, and these rules only try to bullcrap the stupid through life.
I wouldn't want my taxpayer money going to this -blam!-. This is unacceptable, and another terrible example of how people are learning to depend on the government to take care of them for life, and not take care of themselves. I won't say I'm guilt free in this thinking, but I know for a fact that the government isn't guilt free either. At this point, the administration is trying to put people in its dependence instead of off its dependence.
