Subject: So what do I do when my CPU fan makes noise?

You shall not pass!

Since my computer started to make loud humming noises, I decided to check what is causing it. Then I found out it is my CPU fan.

So What do I do? I'm not sure if it is broken. It still spins fine and I dont get any CPU flare ups or any warnings about my fan being below RPM. My computer hasn't randomly shut off either.

The humming noise only occurs when I leave my computer alone for about an hour or 2 and then I wake it up/ turn it on. It will only make the humming noise for about 1-2 minutes, then stop.

The black wind begins to blow... Okay... give me your best shot... If you're prepared for the void!

Fap and then apply liquids to computer.

Get a new heatsink?

Fill the case up with aerosol then light a match in it.

OT: Probably dust or the motor on fan failing.

Are any of the wires touching the rotating heatsink fan? I remember a few of mine were close when I installed everything, I had to hide some under the motherboard.

Delete System32 then turn off the computer and clean the fan.

SERIOUSLY DO NOT DELETE SYSTEM32!!

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

Hum act exactly the same frequency, but 180 degrees out of phase. That'll take care of that noise.

Disregard Females, acquire currency.

How did you find out it was your CPU? Did you take your computer apart?

I usually do this, but usually it's a hoover making the noise, I then proceed to hum.
