I live in a hidden town right next to the Everglades in Florida known as Doral. It's full of rich Hispanics (I'm a Hispanic, middle class though) and it sucks. All the girls are sluts, annoying, loud, or all of the above and use the excuse of "I'm Latina so I can act this way!". The only girls that aren't like this are either awkward shut-ins or somewhat scene girls (not as bad though) who can be annoying because they have bland personalities. I'm friends with some cool guys who are in the middle like I am, and a couple of ex-scene girls. (still have some scene traits, though).
If that isn't bad enough, nothing cool happens here and it's slow and boring, especially on weekends. The only somewhat fun thing people do is throw parties at their rich parents house on weekends. (I'm not a party person, though.)
So right now, it pretty much sucks. I'm also a lost soul. I'm interested in learning many things, but I also have no clue what I'm here for.
- Never had a girl (I do lift by the way, and I'm pretty fit, I just such at being flirty, etc.)
- Never done anything with a girl
- I almost stopped playing video games altogether so I don't have anything to do during the day
So I don't know what I'm going to do. At times I just wanted to move to the wilderness and attempt to live of the land, at other times I just want to be an actor because I love pretending to be someone else, then a professor, followed by a voice actor, hell, even a monk, as I accept some of the Tao and Buddhist philosophies.
Sorry for the blog.
It's cool.
You said you have interest in acting...I mean I'm sure you either considered it or do it, but have you considered joining your school's acting club/class?
Could give you something to do?
What about just reading up to pass the time? You could read about survival techniques or acting or read something like the Gita.
You mentioned that you find yourself aligned with some buddhist/taoist principles, have you considered/tried soul searching via meditation?
Yep, I meditate on a daily basis using different hand positions (I think they're called mudras or something) and I've had some pretty intense and cool experiences.
I'm also in drama class as an elective, it's fun, but the teacher is pretty lazy, and since there are about 35 students in the class, it's hard to get much with so many different people and distractions.
I never thought about reading survival books though, I could try that. Either way I sounded pretty depressed in that last post. When I meant pretending to be someone else, I meant like a really dramatic character lol, not that I want to get away from myself.
