Who would have prepared these kids for the real world then?

It's not all sunshine and rainbows.
Bullying doesn't prepare anyone for the real world. The real world doesn't work like that.

How old are you?

The real world is full of unfortunate situations that make people unhappy. And their isn't always someone to go cry to that can make it better.
I'll be 27 in January. There's a difference between "the world isn't sunshine and rainbows" and "i'm going to harass you continually until you're a broken shell of a person"

I don't know what to tell you. Kids pick on each other.

That reality is never going to change. Kids need to learn to deal with it better.
Except those kids would live happier, healthier lives if people like you didn't continually harass them. Imagine what kind of things we could accomplish if we stopped being dicks to each other for no reason.

We'd probably have to worry about overpopulation and find a way to feed everyone.

This sounds like a bunch of emo nonsense.

All of which would be dealt with if kids sacked up. Don't like being bullied? Punch them in the nose.

I would have bullied significantly less people if someone had broken my nose.

Proves my point of arrogance and ignorance of the people in the world. You said you bullied and it was probably because you felt insecure about yourself. Probably, had some problems in the house with the family. That or you're just being an ass for no reason. Ya, you might get what you want but in the end you're the one looking like the fool.

You cause the problem with your actions being ignorant to what your actions might cause later for the other person.

Bullying only works in Junior high, high school, etc because of all the so called legal crap that keeps teachers from disciplining the child. Try it at your job or in public and see where you go.

You can't just say sack them in the nose. YOU DO NOT know how they feel. Try to get that concept into your head please. You aren't them so you can't judge or say what they do. When you are put down to thoughts of suicide you feel like there is no alternative even if there is one even if you have tried fixing it.

Being the tough guy just makes people hate you. I went to school with a kid who acted the tough guy and bullied. He is now in prison for life for murder which was caused by his actions in school. Not so tough now being the prison -blam!-.

In my opinion kids who are bullied and commit suicide (as sad as it is for anyone) are the strongest ones because it takes a great amount of thought, planning, and courage to off ones self. They are strong because they go a long time dealing with -blam!-.

Not the best option but they are indeed stronger then the bully who bullies because of insecurities. Get off that caveman attitude of strength beats all. We aren't as savage as we used to be. (Still somewhat savage but improving.) Grow up and be an adult. You don't punch your boss because he causes you problems do you? Case and point.

TL:DR Don't judge someone else. You aren't them and don't know what they go through.

Bullying will never end. It only seems to get worse as kids become more and more spoiled and selfish.

I really don't give a -blam!-. It happens so much everyday but people only pretend to give a -blam!- about one case. Cbf reading the link but she probably brought it on herself like that Amanda Todd slut.

No one brings bullying upon themselves.

Please tell me you are not serious?
Yes, this girl totally deserved everything she got, obviously, because you know everything about her.

Anyone who is bullied deserves it and should kill themselves, am I right?

Teenagers are stupid and should all die.
Guys look at me I'm so dark and angsty. My soul is fueled by the tears of others.

How's that? I turned out decent enough. I have no regrets about bullying.

Well that's probably why I stopped. And also why these kids need to just sack up. It ends at high school.

You can't just say sack them in the nose. YOU DO NOT know how they feel. Try to get that concept into your head please. You aren't them so you can't judge or say what they do. What do their feelings have to do with their ability to punch somebody?

Not all bullies are anti-social and become criminals later in life. Sure we may have done it because of our own insecurities, but bullies can grow as people just like the people they bullied.

That is just flat out absurd. Killing yourself takes courage?

First paragraph: lol are you serious? Yeah, killing yourself is courageous. This is the toxic thought process that encourages this -blam!-. Way to be part of the problem.

Second and third: lol at you failing to take your own advice. Apparently we aren't to judge the bullied, but you've no qualms against judging the bully. How do you know what he's going through, the true motives for his actions, the reasons behind his insecurities?

Also lol at the hypocrisy of "don't judge the bullied" but here you all are fawning over them. So I guess it's really just "don't judge the bullied, except in a positive manner."

Of course it is, but these people aren't thinking clearly, they're mentally ill.

Here's the problem. Most people just say the person should of just talked to someone or man up to deal with the problems. The thing is with this if you where that person and in their shoes you have to understand all the pressure and problems they are dealing with.

You can't just say deal with it because you aren't them and don't know what goes on in their life. That to me is a sign of arrogance.

It's only being brought up more and more because for the exact reason some other people have stated which is they don't care. I can understand if you don't know the person personally but you have to see it from their eyes. To them nobody gives a damn about them and that adds to the bullying.

Trust me I know from a few people who committed suicide and my own personal thoughts.

When you feel like nobody cares and no matter who you talk to and nothing happens (school, parents, etc) it puts a huge weight on your head. That's the main problem with suicide in todays world. Nobody respects or listens to what others have to say.

You want to stop the bullying? Then show respect to everyone you meet and don't treat them like trash. There's many underlining things that can cause someone to commit suicide. To name a few they can have a biological problem, family problems, job problems, etc. Again don't judge unless you have lived their life and know exactly what they are going through.

No matter what pressure or problems you or I or anyone else is going through, killing yourself is not the solution to anything.
The goal of life, the reason you were born, is to live. To breed. To live a full life or do your duty. You go to war and die, and you died for a cause. For what you believed in. It's what you signed up for.
But if you're an emotional teenager being bullied at school, that's no excuse to kill yourself. There is NO excuse at that age to die. And if you come up with one, it's still not good enough.
Life is to be cherished. It doesn't matter what you're going through. It can be improved. It can always be improved. If you're too weak to fight back, get stronger.

Yes and no. There's a difference between someone being a dick to you, and continual harassment by an individual that is inescapable. Cyberbullies don't just say mean things to you. There's groups of them, they spread things about you, make hate sites/groups about you, etc. The victim doesn't even have to be present to have a good bashing session about the victim.

If your situation can be solved by hitting "block user", then you've probably got good reason to contact law enforcement (and any other relevant authority) and complain about being harassed and possibly stalked.

Maybe that should be considered before suicide?

Let's not pretend like these are isolated incidents. [User X] doesn't harass [User Z] over a day's time, and that night [User Z] kills themselves. I'd wager that the victims do as much as they can to distance themselves from the bullies, including but not limited to blocking communication.

I guess what I don't get is how the existing legal framework isn't sufficient to stop this kind of -blam!-. I mean, the way this is described, it's basically stalking and harassment. There are laws against that. Why aren't these people in jail and their victims still alive?

Then you know what I'd personally call those types of people they purposely do that? No-lifes. That's not going to cause me to commit suicide. That is stupid. All that's going to do is really just piss me off. I'd eventually forget about it and move on.

But seriously, you don't have to put them in jail, but there are options. Special schools, juvenile detention, cut off their internet access (this happens to adults, don't see why not kids).

I enjoy halo for it's story and when I am in the mood, its gameplay. Reach was significantly worse then I expected but was still a great game (minus the european hitscan fiasco). I am sitting on a two mile wide fence on the subject of halo 4. Most of the things I like a technical aspects though and not story or game play. Plus I am slightly mad they took my elites from MP.

If you get bullied on a social networking site couldnt you delete your account. And the problem is solved.
If you can solve a problem by logging off or deleting your account, you aren't being bullied; some guy is being a dick.
That's why I can't find much validity in the concept of this "cyberbullying" crap people are pulling out of their asses, it's so easy to avoid. Unless there are some people troubling you in real life as well, you have no case in my eyes.

There was this case way back in 2006 where someone recorded this lass when she was in the shower and contacted her through emails where he basically said have sex with me or I post your naked body on the internet. So she had sex with him (after months of emails and him publishing a fifty second clip of the video to redtube -no its not there anymore-) and he recorded it and the process started all over again. At one point she was essentially making pr0n vids to prevent the previous explicit material from being released. THAT is cyber bulling (and r4p3 as defined by the European court of human rights) being called a slut on facebook is not and should not be regarded as cyber bullying.
