play for keeps

A game with:
-the sandbox size & gameplay elements of Battlefront
-interactions with NPC's or other PCs (in co-op)that impact Singleplayer levels (think Mass Effect, only instead of affecting just the story, your actions have a big impact on the direction missions take gameplay-wise)
-Halo 4 graphics or better
-integrated game modes (seamless transition from multiplayer to single)
-a "fun" physics engine like H3; less grounded than Reach or H4
-quick loading screens
-community events in Multi; a huge variety of MP game modes (arcade style and competitive)
-large scale version of Forge, for maps and missions
-******amazing overall replay value******
- a new and interesting universe to explore w/ great atmosphere

I'm a determined gamer and like to have fun. I don't approve of cheating or boosting, especially if it's ruining someone else's experience.

I'd love to see a huge, and I mean a HUGE open world to explore, alone or with friends, with online play similar to that of planet side, where there doesn't need to necessarily need to be hundreds of people fighting at once, but where large battles can happen, where you need to look out for one another as you explore.

I want to make friendships and get betrayed, I want to grow attached and be ripped away, I want an emotional experience.

Wake me when the jews are gone.

RTS and 4X elements, space battles and realistic Sci-Fi.
Also turtles, AND CARMEN SANDIEGO.

  • 11.29.2012 2:35 PM PDT

Memento mori.

Who wouldn't want the inclusion of Carmen Sandiego and Dinosaurs?
Oh, and Ling-Ling. Ling-Ling should make a cameo.

Well, it seems like we can all agree that we want some semblance of an open world, or at least a large world that we feel like we're a part of, something less linear than Halo that has more replay value.

Loving all these ideas so far.

somewhere in the heavens...they are waiting. I love the Marathon Trilogy.
Halo CE will always be the best game in the Halo franchise. What a perfect game.
(Proud LONGTIME owner of the PC and Xbox versions of Halo CE)

All I want is very simple, a universe that feels in-depth and layered with vast arrays of culture like the Marathon and Halo trilogies. Where everything and everyone feels like they have had a history.

I think that's one of the most important things to consider when trying to create an immersive sci-fi game. Mass Effect did that pretty well, as well as Dead Space in my opinion. But I've no doubt that Bungie will do a great job of creating a rich universe for the Destiny series.

I am alpha, i am omega.

I am the last of the primes.

1 thing they shouldn't do is just do a halo game with some new paint here and there and some other minor things changed. Otherwise people will just say bungie can't make a game unless it's like halo...

I think a MMO/FPS/RTS hybrid would be nice with a good but different story from halo.

A PC release.

I crave a good story that is unique and that is always making me feel anxious about what comes next, similar to a book. I also would like an open world non linear setting like ODST except more variety in the environment.

I still want a flight simulator.

Oh, and cloaks. Both at the same time, if applicable.

I want the Global battle we were supposed to have in Reach. I also want to be immerse in this world, i want great music, and of course a great story with characters well develloped, and improvement from Bungie in term of cinematic, because 343i maybe a newbie as a dev but they are far far away in this area.

Remember Martin O'Donnell is still with Bungie. So, we should have pretty epic music.

My spoon isn't the only thing that's too big

Balance of Large-Scale and Intimate style engagements (whether through fighting, relationships/diplomacy, or strategy).

Also, it can't be too easy. Point-and-shoots are old. Throw in some intellectual elements.

Why hello there!

Please put this game on PC. If you do that then I'll be happy.

  • 12.01.2012 8:58 AM PDT

TRU7H. CARNAGE. BUNGIE

MMOFPSRPG

that's a nice game category...

  • 12.01.2012 11:55 AM PDT

A game were you customize quite literally everything.

This sounds great. It'd be nice if factions worked similarly to Chromehounds, maybe add in a diplomacy option for joint missions between factions or temporary alliances.

THIS, definitely. Too many first person action games nowadays rely solely on, you know, the ACTION. Look at something like Portal. There's next to no violence, but it's still an FPS, technically.

Obviously I'm not saying I want Destiny to be puzzle based--but hey, Half-Life 2 had the gravity gun and used it not only as a weapon, but as something to solve physics-based puzzles with. I think that the idea of having a dual purpose gun/tool that can be used in combat or as something to solve puzzles with is bloody brilliant.

I would be a happy panda if Bungie took a page from Valve's book and put puzzle or, as you said it, intellectual elements in Destiny.

ZomG, for those people wanting to know everything, this is not my Main tag anymore, (McCrash IS for Posting on B.net)

Original XbL Gamertag, zeDutchKreatiVz, as you guessed, Im Dutch/from Holland/Amsterdam.

...Also wTf happened to Halo.......*sighs*

the ONE thing I like about wow are the freedom you get for quests, so I liked that.

IDK, I kinda dont want destiny to be just another shooter yuknow.
so just a huge (rear) map to explore, while dueling with strangers, or meeting them, and then doing quests with them.

that I would deff like!

EDIT; Yeahh what the guys above said, me Likes Puxxlez :D

Exploration sounds cool, but I don't want this game to be Borderlands. I like the way ODST did it and hope they continue with that (which they likely will). I'm hoping that Bungie stays away from perks and unbalanced customization and instead just adds a lot of abilities everyone can use for the hopefully awesome and likely existing multiplayer. Maybe a Jetpack for everyone? Sounds a bit Tribes-ey to me, but that's cool anyway. I don't know. I would welcome something like Counterstrike, or a new system altogether. I really can only imagine what Bungie may be thinking.

The multiplayer/single player must be very strategic/competitive for me to love this game. No strategy, and I'm going to cry (Halo was very strategic).

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I actually want them to move away from this "faceless" hero stuff. This way, you can create a solid "canon" and "expanded universe" for discussion.
This.

Other than that, I just want Bungie to keep making games their own way, which I think is very good.

I just want a FPS as addictive & fun as HALO was in its prime.

I want an immersive, story driven game that isn't an MMO. And that's it really, I'll buy it as long as it isn't MMO (even then, I still probably will).

I want something fun to play again. I want to to be like what is was when I played halo Ce. All I ever wanted to do was play CE. Whether it was alone or with friends, I could always pop in ce and have tons of fun. My friends and I literally knew where every enemy would spawn in ce and it was still fun. I want that feeling back again.

I would like competitive elements in there along with questing type missions with friends. PVP is a must.

"Two men enter, the greater man walks away." I want that back.

I trust Bungie's ability more than ever now after playing the latest iteration of what was THEIR game.

I can't wait to get some details.
