Does any else have the same problem if they play halo or any other Xbox game for an extended period of time? Is this reason enough for me to complain to microsoft and possibly get a replacement xbox. I've had mine for less than 6 months.

The only time I get the dirty disk message is when I'm playing on XBC. It gives almost everyone that message if they try to join a system link game without first starting their own game and exiting back out. It's more of a glitch than a problem with your disk or xbox. That is, in the Halo XBC case...I've never had it to that to me in any other game.

Mine used to display that message everytime i tried to play campaign and on a few multiplayer levels too. Over time it fixed itself though, and now it works perfectly. Maybe yours will do the same!

If you are playing Halo online, with XBC or Gamespy, and it says you disc is dirty or damaged, this is what you do:

1. Go into Multiplayer
2. Go to Split Screen
3. Make any kind of game and go to the screen where it counts down
4. Get out of it before the game starts
5. Go back into System Link
6. Make your game or join someone else's

Works every time I've done it or told someone else to do it.
