I didn't get one until I got a job and paid for it myself.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

When I was 13-15 years old, my parents bought me a whistle. I would get lost in parks, malls, anywhere and I blew my whistle and we'd be reunited in 10 minutes.

I miss those days.

Did you get lost a lot?

OT: Like most people said, 13-15.

I got a couple of regrettable tattoos but, you can't see 'em when I wear a black suit.
Click here for a good photo to laugh at

12 years old. Because some people actually have friends to text and organize chill seshs.

Whenever your parents think you are old enough to stay home by yourself.

I got my first cell phone in 5th grade

I recieved my 1st phone at the age of 13.

  • 11.28.2012 10:30 AM PDT

Around age 15 I think. I got my first phone at 16, and honestly I didn't really need one before then.

You really can't generalize. It's the point when the kid is able to not lose it weekly or monthly and able to not drain the damn minutes.

  • 11.28.2012 10:30 AM PDT

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I didn't get one until I was able to pay for it. On the rare occasions I would be going somewhere out of the norm like a party or something, my mother would lend me hers for emergencies. I don't think kids need a cell phone.

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

I had a cell phone when I was 8. So I guess 8.

13. Once you go to middle school (aka 7th grade).

"Set a man on fire he will be warm for the rest of his life"

I got my first phone (it was a really basic phone no texting) when I was 9 because I was traveling around the country alot.

OT : It depends on the maturity of the kid.

16. That's when responsibilities such as driving and working kick in.

I agree with this. My parents gave me a pre-paid phone when I was 16 so that I could call if I had an emergency or had to stay late at work.

A cell phone with no texting and web capability? probably as soon as they are able to carry it.

A smart phone? 18.

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

I'd say 13. My sister taught a class about a month ago that had students pulling out Nintendo DS's and cell phones. It was 3rd grade.

No thought required, just spawn and GOOOOOOOOOOO

I got my first black-n-white nextel when I was 12. So that sounds about right. Just before highschool.

Nothing wrong with having a Nintendo DS at ANY age. When I was in kindergarden, EVERYONE had a gameboy.

TRU7H. CARNAGE. BUNGIE

WHAAAT??!....

I think around the time you start school would be cool.

Dear tomorrow, Find some sensibility, Respond to emotion.
Dear Politician, Define sagacity,
All chances of survival are beginning to diminish.
Comedy is no excuse for our own blasphemies.
Mass media, Mass pessimism, Mass Denial.
My television tells me to panic, but I don't think I'll listen.
The apathetic force us to persevere, with their backwards priorities.

If you are alone at any point in the day you should have a phone.

iPhone 4S 64GB Black.

Seven/Eight years old. Parents need to be able to contact their children when they walk outside housing estates, etc.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

They've become such a staple/necessity in society that it's kinda important that a kid gets one around age 10-12.
